Actress and reality TV star Garcelle Beauvais now can add the title of home goods designer under her belt. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star has created a home décor collection inspired by her Haitian roots: Garcelle at Home.
Beauvais was born in Saint-Marc, Haiti, and moved with her mother to the United States at age seven, along with her six elder siblings. She is best known for her starring roles in the sitcom “The Jamie Foxx Show.” where she played the popular character “Fancy,” and the crime drama series “NYPD Blue.”
“Somebody pinch me!” Beauvais wrote on her Instagram. “I’m so excited to tell you that I’m launching my very own home décor collection.” After making her announcement on July 12, she revealed that her new brand is in partnership with HSN.
On social media, she wrote, “#GarcelleatHome is inspired by my Haitian roots, and I cannot wait for you all to get a taste of the island life from the comfort of your own home.”
The Garcelle at Home collection has a wide selection of home décor products, such as tropical printed comfort sets, beaded palm leaf placemats and faux banana trees– all meant to inspire that island vibe in your home. Beauvais also offers placements, pillows, table runners, doormats, candles and wall décor. Prices for pieces in collection range from $20 to $130.
The home décor sector is on the rise as the market in the United States is forecast to reach $202 billion in 2024, a 20 percent increase from its 2019 value, according to Statista.
“It’s absolutely a dream come true,” Beauvais told People. “I have been obsessed with home décor and interior design forever, so the fact that I have my own line now is definitely a pinch me moment. When we designed it, we really pulled the line from my island roots and the beach. I love the textures and colors and prints, and I really wanted it all to feel like an escape when you put it together.”
The former model has a net worth of $8 million. Beauvais, who also appeared in the films “Coming to America,” “White House Down,” and “Coming 2 America,” joined Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2020. It is estimated she makes around $1.9 million for every season, although her earnings from RHOBH are undisclosed.
She also created the podcast “Going to Bed with Garcelle,” and, in 2008, she developed the Petit Bijou children’s jewelry line and released a children’s book, “I Am Mixed,” in 2013.
