Because she is a minor, Singleton’s parents have had set up a Coogan account. The Jackie Coogan Law protects child actors from financial harm from their parents, mandating the employer has to ensure 15 percent of the child actor’s gross earnings in a Coogan trust account. Such accounts have to be set up if the child is paid more than $1,000.
“The Deliverance” is a Lee Daniels Netflix original and is scheduled to be released in 2023. The thriller took inspiration from the 2011 case of the Ammons “haunted” house, also known as “The Portal to Hell.”
About the Ammons Haunting Case
The story is about a Gary, Indiana, mother named Latoya Ammons, her mother, Rosa Campbell, and her three preteen children moving into house and reporting they were experiencing paranormal activity. Ammons complained her family was plagued with horseflies and shadowy activities.
The unusual part of Ammons’ recollections is that the Gary Police Department investigating the house is backing up her claims, with officers saying they heard a ghost.
