Hip-hop artist Lil Wayne recently placed a “sold” sign on his home on Allison Island, one of the most exclusive gated communities in Miami Beach. TMZ reports Lil Wayne and a buyer have come to terms on a price for the property for $28 million — just $1.5 million less than the original asking price.
Lil Wayne is currently residing in Hidden Hills, California, in an estate he purchased for $15.4 million in April 2021.
Lil Wayne is considered one of the most influential hip-hop artists. He has won five Grammy Awards, and 170 songs have charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Lil Wayne’s current net worth is an estimated $170 million. A native of New Orleans, he joined Cash Money Records in 1995 as part of the Hot Boys. In 1999, Lil Wayne debuted his solo album, “The Block Is Hot.” However, it was not until the late 2000s and early 2010s that Lil Wayne reached his career’s prime. His most significant album, “Tha Carter III” sold more than one million copies in the United States in its first week.
Inside The Sale
Lil Wayne purchased the residence in 2017 — just after it was built — for $16.8 million. Laurent Harari, a Miami developer, and prominent local architect Ralph Choeff built and designed the estate.
Sitting on .55 acres, the property features well-manicured tropical trees, a large pool with an open-air cabana, and room for outside dining and entertainment. There’s also a dock with 110 feet of waterfront footage.
The home is 10,278 square feet and includes seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The entryway is made of custom mahogany and seamlessly flows into a great room with a 22-foot ceiling. The lacquered fireplace is the focal point of the room. A dining room connects to the family room, which also connects to an eat-in gourmet kitchen boasting Italian cabinetry and luxe appliances.
A floating staircase leads to the second level of the home. On this level is a master suite that stretches 2,500 square feet and includes a sitting area, walk-in closet, dual baths, and a private terrace.
Other amenities include a commercial-grade elevator, a movie theater, wine cellar, a butler’s kitchen, and dedicated staff quarters.
