Actor Michael B. Jordan recently observed a major landmark in his career. He celebrated his feature film directorial debut with a “Creed III” screening in London on Feb. 15. And, of course, he was styled to the nines.
The “Black Panther” star was wearing an contemporary tuxedo by Prada made in navy wool with black satin lapels. He it paired with Prada’s black brushed leather derby shoes. The tux was adorned with two of the Tiffany & Co. “Bird on a Rock” brooches favored by Jay-Z and worth more than $140,000. But it was what was on his wrist that made many take notice.
“We wanted something that felt super proper with a modern edge, which is the DNA of Prada” and that the Italian luxury label has “always been one of MBJ’s favorite brands,” Jordan’s stylist Jason Bolden told The Hollywood Reporter.
Bolden added, “This is [Michael’s] directorial debut so we wanted to lean into the classic style of Sidney Poitier.”
Got the Time?
Jordan, who has a net worth of an estimated $25 million, wore a Vacheron Constantin Fiftysix on the red carpet at London’s Cineworld Leicester Square.
The Vacheron Constantin Fiftysix Self-Winding watch has a silver “sector” 1950s-inspired dial, a 40mm steel case, and a black leather strap. According to The Robb Report, the $12,300 watch features an open-worked case back through which you can see its 22k gold oscillating weight. The timepiece indicates the hours, minutes, and dates. Of course, the design has the brand’s signature Maltese Cross logo.
Vacheron Constantin seems to be one of Jordan his favorite luxury brands. At last years’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” premiere he wore a yellow gold Vacheron Constantin Historiques 222.
Decked out in Tiffany Diamonds
The Tiffany diamond brooches on Jordan’s suit also made a bold statement. Designed by Jean Schlumberger, the brooches are favored by celebrities like Jay-Z, who recently wore one of these brooches to the 2023 Grammys. The brooches are priced between $69,000 and $140,000, depending on the size and included stones.
Jordan wore one 52-carat amethyst brooch and one miniature 2-carat aquamarine brooch, according to The Robb Report. Each is studded with round-cut diamonds and pink sapphire and crafted with 18k yellow gold and platinum.
“Michael and I fell in love with brooches over the summer, and we decided to play with them a lot on this tour!” explains Bolden, who added that he loves the way the pieces “play off the navy and black suiting.”
Jordan also wore a $14,800 white gold Tiffany Lock Bangle with pavé diamonds on his right wrist and Tiffany & Co. diamond studs in his ears.
“Creed III” opens March 3.
