The mother of the NBA player of Tristan Thompson’s 6-year-old son alleges the player owes her a substantial six-figure sum in child support.
Jordan Craig, the mother of Prince Oliver, who was born in December 2016, is seeking $224,000 from her ex, Khloe Kardashian’s on-again, off-again partner. The arrears, she reported in a petition, are the result of “either partial payments or missing child support payments altogether” since November 2022, as reported by The Daily Mail.
According to The Daily Mail, a declaration was submitted to a Los Angeles court on September 13.
Thompson Has Stayed Mum
The conversation has been pretty much one sided, with Thompson’s response being silent on the matter.
It has been reported that he has been making monthly payments of $40,000 to Craig since April 2019 and stopped in November. They had reached a child support settlement in 2019. There is no word as to why he supposedly stopped paying Craig.
Thompson, who rejoined the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this year with a one-year, $3.2 million contract, is not only the father of Prince but also has a 5-year-old daughter named True, and another son, named Tatum, born in December 2022 whom he shares with his ex-partner, Khloé.
Thompson is estimated to have a net worth of $45 million.
Khloé and Thompson’s love lives are extensively documented and public, thanks in part to their appearances on “The Kardashians,” available for streaming on Hulu. But the announcement of Thompson’s overdue child support was relatively discreet. However, comments from Craig’s sister, Kai Cyre, hit the media, bringing to light the lack of child support Craig says she is receiving. On Cyre’s Instagram on Oct. 5, she stated that he has not been there for Prince or provided financial support.
‘It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy I haven’t for over seven years, but this is just too much. It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others, but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew, Prince,” the aunt wrote, The Daily Mail reported. “The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, he never sees, or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable.”
