Amid Divorce Rumors, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Want to Unload $61 Million House, But Are Buyers Interested?

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have quietly listed their sprawling Beverly Hills mansion on the market for more than they paid for it. This move has sparked more speculation about the state of their marriage despite the couple’s insistence that they are not happy with the abode.

People magazine reports neither Lopez nor Affleck are happy with the $61 million house, which they purchased in June 2023, almost a year after their July 2022 wedding.

“Ben never liked the house. It’s too far away from his kids,” the magazine says a source close to Lopez revealed. Affleck co-parents his three children — Samuel, 12, Fin, 15, and Violet, 18 — with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who resides in Pacific Palisades. Meanwhile, Lopez reportedly finds the house “way too big,” a sentiment echoed by another insider who spoke to People.

TMZ reported that the couple’s Bel Air mega mansion, initially listed three weeks ago for $65 million, has yet to find a buyer. According to several celebrity real estate agents that they have interviewed, there is mixed feelings about the pricing of the house.

Some say that the mansion is listed at reasonable price considering the star power connected to it, its spaciousness and location.

Inside the Mansion

Revel Real Estate agent Benjamin Bacal says that the asking price is perfect. Still, there are others that say that the property should go for tens of millions of dollars cheaper.

The $61 million mansion, set on five acres, boasts an impressive 38,000 square feet of living space. With 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage, a pool, and an extensive sports complex featuring basketball and pickleball facilities, a gym, and a boxing ring, the property is undeniably grand.

New photos of the mansion, showing all of its impressive features, were uploaded to Zillow.com on June 1 and June 5, but a representative for Lopez clarified that the images themselves are not recent.

Lopez and Affleck have enlisted top real estate agent Santiago Arana from The Agency to handle the sale.

Despite rumors that the home was sold to a couple in May, the Daily Mail believes that the property remains unsold as of June 18.

Affleck is not living in the home. He has been residing in a rental home in Brentwood, close to Garner, while filming “The Accountant 2.” His rental comes with a hefty price tag of $100,000 per month.

Meanwhile, Lopez continues to live in their marital home, with rumors swirling about the state of their marriage. However, neither the 54-year-old “Atlas actress nor the 51-year-old Oscar winner has made any announcements regarding a potential divorce.

Some suspect that an announcement is coming, believing they will share the news with their fans and the larger public before Independence Day.

Until then Jenny from the Block is preparing for her summer season. People magazine says, since her schedule tour has been canceled, the dancer-turned-singer-turned-actor will “be with her children, family and close friends” over the next couple of months.
