It seems Kanye West spares no expense throwing a party, as he and wife, Bianca Censori, while in Paris for Fashion Week spent about $50,000 for a single event for 30 guests.
After attending the Prototype fashion show on June 20, West, who legally changed his name to Ye, spent a total of approximately $47,240 during a dinner party in Paris, The Daily Mail reported.
One Expensive Dinner
The event took place at an apartment in the Quartier Saint Germain des Pres section of Paris on an unspecified evening during Paris Fashion Week.
He reportedly spent $40,800 on an array selection of wines, including five bottles of pinot noir at $3,950 each, totaling $19,750, and 10 bottles of Bordeaux at $1,000 each, which added up to $10,000.
West also indulged in $7,440 worth of Dom Pérignon Champagne and included six bottles of Cristal Brut in the evening’s drink selection.
On the food front, he spent $6,440, specifically, it was 12 portions of Caviar Petrossian, priced at $320 per 30 grams, for a total of $3,840.
Additionally, he splurged $3,100 on smoked salmon and $1,340 on premium steak.
The event gathered around 30 guests, including friends, French collaborators, and industry contacts from the music and sports worlds, according to entertainment gossip pub The Sun, though not verified by other outlets.
This isn’t the only expensive party West has thrown. The rapper and fashion mogul reportedly once paid Italian chef Massimo Bottura, best known as the chef patron of the three-Michelin-star Osteria Francescana restaurant in Modena, Italy — $150,000 to cook for a party.
West’s most recent expensive shindig might have taken his mind off of current legal woes, but still he could end up shelling out more money than just dinner.
Lauren Pisciotta, a former assistant, has filed a lawsuit against him alleging breach of contract, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and the creation of a hostile work environment.
Pisciotta claims that West engaged in inappropriate behavior, including sending explicit texts and videos, and performing sex acts during phone calls. West’s legal team has denied these allegations and accused Pisciotta of blackmail and extortion, according to the Los Angeles Times.
West is facing another lawsuit. Trevor Phillips, a former employee of West’s apparel company Yeezy, alleges that West made anti-Semitic remarks and engaged in other inappropriate behaviors, such as suggesting extreme disciplinary measures for students at his Donda Academy.
Tony Saxon, a contractor for West’s Malibu mansion, has filed a lawsuit demanding over $1 million in unpaid wages. He claims West forced him to work 16-hour days under harsh conditions and fired him after he refused to replace the beach house’s electrical system with unsafe generators.
And as Finurah previously reported, West is struggling to sell his real estate properties, with his Wyoming ranch and Malibu home remaining on the market without attracting buyers at their listed prices.
West, once a billionaire whose online remarks some deemed as anti-Semitic caused his net worth estimations to plummet by more than half, is now worth about $400 million.
