Amid Bad Reviews for ‘Vultures 2’ Album, Rare Van Previously Owned By Kanye West Sells at Auction for $23K

A rare SUV once owned by Kanye West has been auctioned to the highest bidder.

On Aug. 7, bidding on a Mauck MSV once owned by West, or Ye as he is now known, ended on Cars & Bids for $23,500. The vehicle currently has just 58,200 miles on it despite being built almost 30 years ago.

West purchased the vehicle in April 2023. Records obtained by Robb Report indicate that he owned the van through his Yeezy LLC until this past January. While the amount West spent or sold the van for is unknown, here is what is known: the Mauck Special Vehicle 1120S Elite is rare. Only 100 were built between 1996 and 1999, according to Robb Report. This particular vehicle was made in 1996 and was the second to come off the assembly line.

Take A Look at the Mauck MSV

The 1996 Mauck MSV gives off futuristic vibes. Featuring a blacked-out aesthetic, dihedral doors are placed at the front. There are tinted windows and it rides on 16-inch wheels.

Inside, the Mauck continues its futuristic appeal with gray and black leather covering its interior. The driver’s seat features a wrap-around console allowing for climate control. There’s also two rear seats as well as a U-shaped rear bench. In all, the vehicle can seat six people comfortably. Amenities such as an entertainment system mounted in the van’s roof, custom-made LED lights, and Orion sound system provide a sense of luxury for long rides. Also present is a refrigerator and sink.

The 6.2 liter V-8 engine is sourced by GM and is connected to a four-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a gasoline powered-generator, tandem rear axle and an air suspension.

Yet all is not perfect with this vehicle. Owners shared on Cars & Bids that the front air conditioner does not blow cold air and the front power windows need to be fixed. Despite a repaint in April, the seller disclosed that there are also chips and scratches on the exterior. Regular wear and tear is also present inside the SUV such as creases on the front seats along with chips and markings on the dashboard. There’s also some rust present on the vehicle’s underbody.

Nevertheless, the vehicle will make a nice addition to the new owner’s collection because it is a rare, custom build.
