Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, isn’t just making waves with her comeback at the 2024 Paris Olympics; she’s also turning heads with her ambitious real estate ventures in Texas. While the world watches her athletic prowess, Biles and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, have also been crafting their dream home in Houston.
Biles has won three home gold medals at the Paris Olympics, winning the women’s artistic individual all-around, women’s vault and team all-around with teammates Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera and Jordan Chiles. Biles also took home sliver in the floor exercise. This brings Biles’ Olympic medal haul to 11 overall.
Inside the Home
Born in Ohio but a Texan at heart, the 27-year-old athlete broke ground on her waterfront property in March 2023. Through a series of social media updates, Biles has unveiled plans for the residence, which include double-height rooms, expansive sliding doors on the ground floor, a theater, game room, wet bar, and balconies offering serene water views. Interior glimpses reveal a penchant for a grayscale palette, highlighted by a massive waterfall island and pristine white cupboards. Although construction updates have momentarily paused due to Biles’ Olympic preparations and now the Games, anticipation for the home’s completion remains high.
Although no official reveal has been announced yet, Biles has shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of her home’s progress on Instagram. The soaring double-height ceilings and her love for neutral tones suggest this house will be as impressive as her floor routines.
Biles has been documenting the entire construction process of her new home on Instagram, giving fans an inside look at every stage. She’s been hands-on throughout, ensuring that every detail reflects her vision. Among the highlights she’s shared is a shot of the stunning black and white marble countertops paired with sleek white cabinetry in the kitchen. Biles also revealed a beautifully crafted wooden staircase accented with black railings, and another room featuring chic black and white wall tiling.
Prior to this custom build, Biles resided in a contemporary ranch-style home in Texas, acquired in 2021. This abode features a striking white façade, an L-shaped pool complemented by a spa, and a sleek pergola. The interior boasts a gray-and-white waterfall island in the kitchen, charcoal gray cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. Personalized touches include decals bearing her last name and the names of her French bulldogs, Lilo and Rambo. Notably, Biles welcomed another French bulldog, Zeus, into the family, as reported by People in June.
After tying the knot last year, Biles and Owens, briefly lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin, during Owens’ time with the Green Bay Packers. However, with his current move to the Chicago Bears, it’s likely the couple has since relocated from Wisconsin.
