Judging from his car collection, Kevin Hart has a need for speed.
As Finurah previously reported, Hart loves collecting watches and is an avid sports fan, having once nearly gone into debt paying for memorabilia items.
The Philly comedian also likes to collect muscle cars.
Here’s a look at few of the cars in his garage.
A Car Named Darkness
Hart has a custom-built 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, which he nicknamed “Darkness.” He chose the name ‘Darkness’ due to his love for horror movies, his favorite genre, and because the car is pitch black. The Chevelle was one of the 11 featured cars in the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show as part of the Kevin Hart Kollection exhibit.
Darkness was customized by Timeless Kustoms in Camarillo, California, and is equipped with a supercharged 7.4-liter LS9 V8 engine delivering 750 horsepower paired with a Chevy 4L80E automatic transmission, according to Auto Evolution. The build features a fully overhauled Art Morrison chassis and a body enhanced by a series of aesthetic upgrades.
Bad News, The Camaro
Another Hart muscle car featured in the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show is “Bad News,” yet another customized black 1960s Chevy from Timeless Kustoms, but it is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro.
The Bad News Camaro may be slower and weaker than the Darkness, but it has a 6.2-liter LS7 V8 engine with twin turbos, delivering 650 horsepower, according to Motor Authority. Its custom chassis and front suspension sourced from a C6 Corvette make its handling more agile and stable, particularly in tight corners or on challenging roads, according to Auto Evolution.
Muscles Michael Myers
Paying homage to the iconic horror movie character, the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner “Michael Myers” features a supercharged 7.0-liter Gen III Hemi V8 engine that produces 940 horsepower, paired with a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission and runs on 91 octane gasoline, according to the official Dodge Forum.
Designed by Sean Smith and built by Salvaggio Design in Port Washington, Wisconsin, the car’s “Halloween” theme is complemented by a custom chassis with an integrated roll cage and a Detroit Speed suspension system, according to Auto Evolution.
Droppa
Hart’s 1969 Pontiac GTO “Droppa” draws its name from his rap persona, “Chocolate Droppa,” according to American Cars and Racing.
The Droppa is painted in Mercedes Mystic Brown to match his rap name. It was built by Detroit Speed and is equipped with a 750-hp supercharged Chevrolet LT5 crate engine, a custom Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission, and a reinforced original frame with modernized suspension, according to Auto Evolution.
Sole ’70s Car
One of the few cars that Hart owns from the 1970s is the 1970 Dodge Charger “Hellraiser,” according to Auto Evolution. The 1970 Dodge Charger “Hellraiser” is considered a modern muscle car rather than a classic, despite being based on the second-generation Dodge Charger. It features a supercharged 7.0-liter HEMI crate engine, known as the Hellephant, which delivers 1,000 hp and 950 lb-ft of torque, according to Auto Blog.
The car is equipped with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. It was built by SpeedKore Performance in Grafton, Wisconsin, and has a custom carbon-fiber body made from aerospace-grade materials, a custom frame with a 14-point roll cage, and a suspension system with a front setup derived from a C6 Corvette and a SpeedKore-designed four-bar rear suspension.
Besides these cars, he also owns a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette (Mint Condition), 1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible, 1970 Dodge Challenger (Bane), 1987 Buick Grand National (Dark Knight), and a 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione.
While he has been collecting cars, Hart is also been busy fending of a couple of messy lawsuits.
Hart is being sued for $12 million by his former friend, Jonathan “J.T.” Jackson, over an alleged breach of a 2021 settlement agreement tied to a 2017 sex tape scandal. Jackson claims Hart failed to publicly clear him of extortion charges as promised, harming his reputation and career. The lawsuit accuses Hart of breach of contract, fraud, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Hart is also involved in a separate defamation lawsuit with his former assistant, Miesha Shakes.
