Vanilla Ice is now the owner of a Lamborghini Murcielago previously owned by rapper 50 Cent.
He acquired the blue luxury car from Fred Fishback, who was unaware of its association with 50 Cent, according to Lambo Cars.
The Lamborghini Murcielago typically ranges in price between $270,000 and $350,000, depending on the model and customization options, but its value is likely higher due to its connection with the Queens rapper.
The 2005 roadster features a 6.2-liter V-12 engine producing 572 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 207 mph.
Interestingly, Vanilla Ice found a quarter and a glove left behind by 50 Cent inside the vehicle. Fishback also made modifications, including a rear wing and a Kreissieg exhaust.
Another observation made by Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, is that the car had suffered significant scratches on its wheels, which the elderly Fishback attributed to damage caused while driving in New York City, according to Supercar Blondie.
Vanilla Ice, once regarded as a prominent hip-hop figure with 15 million records sold from his debut album, “To the Extreme,” and known for his 1990 classic hit “Ice Ice Baby.” His net worth is said to be around $20 million. And now he’s the owner of 50 Cent memorabilia.
50’s Many Cars
The car was a gift 50 Cent gave himself in 2005 after recording “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” which has since been acclaimed by hip-hop fans and critics as a classic rap-themed movie. 50 Cent also has a habit of painting all his cars in a shade called “50 Blue,” which explains the Lamborghini’s distinctive color.
In addition to formerly owning a Lamborghini Murcielago, which 50 Cent originally purchased for $300,000, he currently owns an extensive collection of luxury cars, including a Bugatti Chiron valued at $3.2 million, a Maserati MC12 priced at $2.4 million, and an Enzo Ferrari worth $1 million.
His collection also features a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster at $460,000, alongside other high-end vehicles such as a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Rolls-Royce Ghost, Ferrari 430, a 1965 Chevrolet Impala, a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser, a Bentley Mulsanne, a Range Rover, and a G Wagon, according to Vintage Car Collector.
Another Lamborghini owned by 50 Cent is a customized Versace 50 Blue, which is prominently showcased at DJ Envy’s car shows. Its appearance has caught the attention of Snoop Dogg, who has taken joyrides in it and even playfully “stole” the car as a prank—just a bit of fun between two long-time friends in the rap game.
