‘SLY’ Mystery Mansion Sparks Wild Theories: Urban Explorers Link Abandoned Estate to Sylvester Stallone — But Fans Aren’t Buying It

Urban explorers believe they’ve uncovered Sylvester Stallone’s abandoned mansion — but the internet isn’t so sure.

A resurfaced video posted to social media on March 13, shared by the YouTube channel Fact Verse, shows a group of urban explorers trespassing on a deteriorating property littered with decaying luxury cars and signs of former opulence. The explorers claim the clues they found point to the home once belonging to the legendary actor.

Is It, or Isn’t It

But online, viewers are left scratching their heads, unsure of which property it is — or if it even belonged to Stallone at all.

Some of the cars featured in the video are Chevy Camaro, Stingray Corvette, and Mercedes-Benz models, including a 560 SEC, Volvo, Ford Ranger, Chevy 1500, and a very rare black Clenet, one of which Stallone is known for owning.

The only indication that users believe that the home belongs to the “Rocky” actor is the novelty license plates on the vintage cars, “SLY.”

There is no official report of the property being owned by Stallone or anyone of his associates.

For the alleged Stallone property, not only did the property have luxury cars, but expired food was left inside the refrigerator, suggesting that whoever left the property did so without much afterthought.

Some users believe that the property could have been the actor’s Florida or California properties, either his Palm Beach or Palm Springs locations.

These theories would later be debunked as the Palm Beach mansion was purchased in 2020 for $35.38 million, and the old mansion he owned in the California desert of Palm Springs was abandoned for a while before Adele bought it.

Some users believe the abandoned mansion was Stallone’s childhood home in Silver Spring, Maryland.

The license plates were from Maryland.

This, too, was also not supported by facts, especially considering that the Maryland home he grew up in was a private house but far less grand than the mansion shown on camera.

The childhood home has been put on the market for years, meaning it could not be Stallone’s.

The cars are also registered under a different person than Stallone.

Another theory that fans have speculated, ruling out the possibility that the house belongs to Stallone, is that a wealthy Frenchman passed away and left a decaying mansion. Users believe the supposed Frenchman bought cars from Stallone and conveniently lived in Maryland. It was also theorized that the supposed French owner was the brother of the Clenet Coachworks automaker, but these theories are largely debunked as well, Fact Verse reported.

Other than Stallone and the rich Frenchman, some believe the “SLY” property belonged to Sly Stone of Sly of the Family Stone fame. This too has not been proven.
