Jeff Bezos Is Spending Millions on a Three-Day Wedding to Lauren Sánchez, But the Prenup’s Value Could Be Worth Even More

A leading net worth attorney says Jeff Bezos isn’t just planning a prenup, he’s crafting one so intricate it could rival a Fortune 500 merger.

According to California lawyer Alphonse Provinziano, who specializes in high-profile finances, the Amazon founder’s prenuptial agreement is likely designed to be virtually bulletproof — highly detailed, difficult to challenge, and incredibly time-consuming to review.

The Rumored Prenup

While this has not been confirmed and is the opinion of Provinziano, it has been reported by Radar.

With a staggering net worth of nearly $200 billion, Bezos is preparing to tie the knot with former news anchor Lauren Sánchez during a lavish three-day celebration in Venice, reportedly set for June 24 to 26.

Provinziano thinks Bezos is demanding a prenuptial agreement that protects his assets so that she cannot claim them.

“Jeff Bezos doesn’t just want a prenup, he wants a prenup that will survive any legal challenge,” said Provinziano. “For someone as rich as Bezos, that means preparing documentation of the complex accounting arrangements and business deals he’s involved in so that she couldn’t later claim that he hid certain assets from her.”

The corporate style agreement is something Sánchez’s legal representation has to review, which Provinziano said, “All in all, it’s a lot of work for teams of lawyers.”

The Italian wedding is reported to possibly cost between $9 million and $12 million, but according to the New York Post, it could be less than $10 million with only 200 or fewer people scheduled for attendance.

The guest list includes Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, Kris and Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, all of whom will be staying at the Aman Venice and the Gritti Palace, costing per night around $500,000.

The news of his wedding comes on the heels of his record-breaking property sales: he sold one of his mansions in Seattle for $63 million, a 9,420-square-foot Hunts Point home in 2019 for $37.5 million, according to Hello Magazine.

According to the publication, the Seattle native no longer lives in Washington state, but instead is a primary resident of Miami with Sánchez.

It is worth noting that Bezos owns properties in New York, Beverly Hills, somewhere in Hawaii, and a Texas ranch.
