LeBron James is building more than a legacy on the court, he’s also constructing a one-of-a-kind palace in Beverly Hills.
LeBron’s Dream Home
The NBA superstar’s custom-built mansion located on a hilltop seems is finally coming to life after years of planning and the dramatic demolition of a $39 million estate, according to Realtor.com. James purchased the property in 2020 from the late soap opera icons Lee Phillip Bell and William J. Bell, creators of “The Young and the Restless.” James bulldozed the Mediterranean-style property in 2023 to start from scratch.
New aerial photos published on Realtor.com show a sprawling, multi-level compound rising from the hillside dirt, with scaffolding surrounding a massive main house and a guesthouse. The home sits atop 2.5 acres, making it one of the largest and most private parcels in Beverly Hills. The new home will offer sweeping views of Los Angeles.
James reportedly paid $36.75 million for the original home. But the four-time NBA champion razed the 13,000-square-foot estate that one included a theater, tennis court, and pool.
James’ underconstruction megamansion is rumored to include a resort-style infinity pool, indoor basketball court, home theater, wine cellar, and multiple guest homes. It’s expected to be James’ primary residence, housing not only him and wife, Savannah, but potentially also their three children. James is seems to be sparing no expense.
The property will be accessible via what is reported to be one of the longest driveways in L.A.
The 40-year-old Lakers legend is no stranger to high-end real estate. In addition to his Beverly Hills build, he owns a $2.1 million estate in Akron, Ohio, and previously owned a Brentwood mansion that he sold for a slight loss in 2021 for $19.6 million. He purchased it for $20,986,500 in 2015.
While the Lakers’ 2025 playoff run ended early, James offseason is proving just as ambitious, at least when it comes to real estate.
