The 28-year-old social media mogul has dropped a stunning $39 million on one of Georgia’s most prestigious properties, transforming his massive payday from the Mike Tyson fight into a slice of Southern paradise that spans nearly 6,000 acres.

Inside the Plantation

The sprawling Southlands Plantation in Decatur County represents more than just another celebrity real estate acquisition. This historic 5,746-acre estate, nestled in Georgia’s coveted quail belt about eight miles from Bainbridge, had remained off the public market for nearly 90 years before hitting the scene in October 2023 with a $42.5 million price tag. Paul managed to negotiate the purchase down to $39 million, funding the deal entirely with his November 2024 boxing earnings against the former heavyweight champion.

Speaking candidly on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast, Paul revealed the emotional connection driving his decision.

“I’ve been wanting to buy a ranch for the past 15 years,” he shared with hosts Jack Selby and Graham Stephan. “It’s kind of been my dream and why I work so hard.”

According to Landreport.com, the property was originally assembled by naturalist and conservationist Herbert Stoddard in the early 1900s. He is the author of the groundbreaking study “The Bobwhite Quail.”

More recently, Rock Creek Capital founder Jim Dahl transformed the commercial timber tracts into world-class recreational habitat after acquiring the land from International Paper in 2010.

Paul admitted the scope initially overwhelmed him, confessing that the estate was “a little bit bigger than what I wanted, but when I got there, I was like, ‘I have to buy this.'”

The property’s natural amenities certainly justify his enthusiasm, featuring five miles of spring-fed creeks, a 20-acre stocked fishing lake, a 30-acre duck pond, and direct frontage on the massive 37,500-acre Lake Seminole.

The estate includes a recently renovated 4,884-square-foot main lodge with eight bedrooms, plus additional structures like a manager’s house, guesthouse, and specialized facilities for horseback riding and quail hunting. A three-mile private paved driveway leads to the main compound, underlining the property’s exclusivity.

Meanwhile, Paul’s former opponent has been making his own real estate moves in Florida.

Mike Tyson reportedly earned $20 million from their highly publicized Netflix bout. Reportedly, Paul earned $40 million. He even mentioned this amount in a pre-fight press conference.

Tyson spent his earnings to purchase a $13 million waterfront mansion in Palm Beach County’s exclusive Tierra del Ray Estates.

The 12,286-square-foot property sits on 2.7 acres and features luxury amenities including a private bass pond and 80-foot swimming pool.

Tyson also acquired a $1.7 million plot at a nearby private airstrip, complete with an airplane hangar and cottage, providing convenient private aviation access.

Broker Joseph Jonathan Schneider, who handled Tyson’s deal, praised the collaboration, stating, “This has been a successful transaction with all the parties demonstrating professionalism and collaboration.”

Both fighters have transformed their November clash into lasting investments, with Paul securing his long-held ranch dreams and Tyson establishing a luxurious Florida retreat. Fresh off his June 28 unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Paul can now relax knowing he owns a piece of Georgia history.
