President Donald Trump was spotted on the fairways of Trump Turnberry in Scotland this weekend with a new and unusual companion: a heavily armored, matte black golf cart known informally as “Golf Force One.”

Protection on the Course
The vehicle is believed to be a heavily modified Polaris Ranger XP. The cart shadowed Trump as he played golf, but it doesn’t seem that he actually rode in it. Trump himself drove a standard white golf cart.
According to The Sun, the custom cart is valued at approximately $28,000. It reportedly has additional security enhancements—including bulletproof glass, reinforced panels, tinted and laminated windows, and possibly even smoke screens and electrified door handles. The White House has not said if this is in response to the 2024 attempted attack on Trump near his Florida golf club.
Security analyst Gary Relf, director of Armoured Car Services, told The Telegraph that the armored nature of the vehicle was evident at a glance. “Just looking at the front windscreen, that looks armored,” he said. “When we armor a vehicle, we take every kind of technical element out, the roof, the seats, the floor, the carpet, and then we put the armoring in, and we replace it all afterwards, so you might never know. But the thing that gives it away is the front windscreen.”
The cart is part of a larger show of force surrounding Trump’s five-day visit to Scotland. Alongside the armored buggy, a convoy of 28 vehicles, road checkpoints, military trucks, and rooftop snipers formed what British press dubbed a “ring of steel” around the former president as he visited the coastal course.
Golf Force One can reportedly reach speeds of 65 mph.
Despite the significant security precautions, anti-Trump demonstrators were seen protesting nearby in Aberdeen. Trump was not nly unable to get away from protests, questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein followed hm on the trip, wit local journalists questioning the U.S. president about the files.
The HuffPost reports, the trip will cost U.S. taxpayers “at least $10 million.” On the “working” vacation, he visited his Turnberry resort and in Aberdeenshire he will open a new 18-hole golf course. The work part included meeting with EU officials about a possible trade deal.
