The towering entrepreneur recently extended a possible shoe deal offer and contributed $10,000 to support an extraordinary 6-year-old martial artist whose remarkable achievements have captivated audiences worldwide. He shared the news on his social media.

Under the guidance of her father, former professional boxer Dominic Barry, Nalah Barry has built an impressive competitive record. Her training sessions have garnered hundreds of millions of views across social media platforms, with the father and daughter YouTube channel attracting over 600,000 subscribers.

The moment that changed everything came when O’Neal discovered Barry’s story while scrolling through Instagram.

“I was watching her story and I just kept watching it,” O’Neal admitted.

The moment that changed everything came when O’Neal discovered Barry’s story while scrolling through Instagram.

“I was watching her story and I just kept watching it,” O’Neal admitted.

Recognizing the potential and dedication he witnessed, O’Neal invited the Barry family to New York for what would become a career-defining encounter. During their meeting, the basketball legend announced his intention to support Nalah’s future in an unprecedented way for someone her age.

“I’m about to make history. I’m about to offer this little girl her own shoe deal. How does that sound?” O’Neal told the young champion, instantly transforming what began as a social media discovery into a tangible business opportunity.

The generosity extended beyond the shoe deal proposal. O’Neal pledged $10,000 from his personal funds, which was matched by his partners at affordable footwear company Galaxy, effectively doubling the immediate financial support. He also committed to commissioning mock-ups for a potential shoe line bearing her name and logo, emphasizing that his support came without conditions.

In February, Authentic Brands Group, which owns Reebok and several other global brand, announced that Galaxy Universal will manage Reebok’s U.S. footwear, retail, e-commerce, and global product creation. Shaq is also Authentic Brands’s second-largest individual shareholder.

“I don’t want nothing; I want you to keep winning,” O’Neal said to the Barry family.

For Barry, this endorsement from one of sports’ most influential figures provides both validation and an unprecedented opportunity at an age when most children are just discovering their interests and talents.

The young athlete’s achievements extend far beyond viral video clips. She has earned five gold medals in boxing and achieved a gray belt in jiujitsu.

According to competition records from SMOOTHCOMP, she has secured victories in 29 matches, including 23 wins by submission, five by points, and one by decision. Most remarkably, she has been crowned a world champion, demonstrating both exceptional talent and unwavering discipline.

Her father’s influence cannot be overstated in this success story. Dominic Barry, who played linebacker at Western New Mexico University before transitioning to professional boxing, KFOX 14 reports, has been instrumental in shaping his daughter’s athletic journey from the moment she first put on gloves.
