Bill Belichick is no longer solely living in the Cape Cod area.
The longtime coach sold his Nantucket cottage for nearly $3.8 million on Nov. 20, coming in about $105,000 below the $3.9 million asking price but still earning a strong return.

The sale is an increase of about 55 percent over what he originally paid for the property, Realtor.com reported.
According to Realtor.com, Belichick, who has a net worth of $70 million, purchased the cottage in 2014 for $2.45 million.
The recent listing was handled by Coldwell Banker and drew big interest throughout the fall.
The home is located at 3 North Gully Road in the village of ’Sconset. The two-bedroom, two and a half bath cottage includes direct beach access, The Boston Globe reported. Built in 1976, the home sits adjacent to conservation land, offering privacy and unobstructed natural views.
The previous owners completed a renovation in 2009 that updated structural and interior elements while preserving the cottage’s traditional character.
The roughly 4,400 square foot property features a vaulted living room with a stone fireplace, wood paneling, built-in shelving, and windows overlooking the shoreline.
The listing highlighted the atmosphere and noted the home’s distinctive details.
According to Realtor.com, “The cottage exudes old-world charm with wooden walls, built-in bookshelves, a window with diamond mullions, and many nooks and crannies while still offering modern amenities for today’s living.”
The lower level includes a family area and laundry space, and a loft with built-in beds is accessible by ladder.
Belichick first attempted to sell the home in August. An early offer fell through later that month, leading to the property being relisted at the same price.
The successful sale comes during a transitional period for the coach.
After 24 seasons with the New England Patriots and six Super Bowl championships, Belichick is now in his first year as the head coach at the University of North Carolina.
Despite selling this cottage, Belichick maintains a strong presence in Nantucket.
He owns several additional properties in ’Sconset, including 7 North Gully Road, where he is currently building a new home.
In a 2017 interview with N Magazine, he said, “The island is spectacular. The people are great, fishing, bike paths, the lighthouses, the beach, the history—I mean it’s got it all.”
Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, have also assembled an $8 million real estate portfolio in Massachusetts over the past year.
Hudson purchased four properties in late 2023, including two townhouses in Dorchester, a home in Roxbury Crossing, and a waterfront cottage in Harwich.
