The real estate decision comes during a turbulent stretch for the 27-year-old basketball star. Just days before his anticipated debut with Washington on March 5, Young was ejected from the bench during the Wizards’ March 2 loss to the Houston Rockets after stepping onto the court to argue with officials during an on-court confrontation. The incident occured just before Young had even played a game for Washington. The point guard, who has been sidelined with MCL and quad injuries, announced he plans to return to action Thursday against the Utah Jazz.

Despite the dramatic start in Washington, Young remains one of the NBA’s highest-paid players. He carries an average annual salary of about $43 million, accoding to Spotrac. For the 2025–26 season, he is earning a base salary of $45,999,660. Over the course of his career, Young has already earned roughly $192.8 million.

After eight seasons and four All-Star appearances in Atlanta, the basketball star appears ready to close the chapter on his A-Town era as he put his home there on the market.

It sits on a 2.5-acre property in the affluent Sandy Springs area of metro Atlanta and spans about 11,000 square feet. Built in 2022, the two-story residence combines contemporary design with Mediterranean influences, including arched architectural elements, iron-framed windows, and bright open interiors, according to Mansion Global.

It features six bedrooms and a chef’s kitchen that includes a 10-foot waterfall island and connects to a secondary kitchen. The primary suite includes a private lounge framed by bay windows overlooking the grounds.

There’s also a backyard with a saltwater swimming pool, spa, sundeck, and a covered dining area.

Additional amenities include a four-car garage, a separate guest or staff suite with its own entrance, and a large terraced basement that has been partially finished but left customizable. The lower level offers space for a recreation room, gym, theater, wine cellar or other amenities.

Young reportedly purchased the property in July for about $7.84 million through an Oklahoma-based LLC. He also owns a $20 million home in Calabasas, California.
