Entertainment mogul Tyler Perry has listed his sprawling Beverly Hills estate for $57 million, just weeks after revealing that he plans to relocate to Puerto Rico with his 11-year-old son, Aman, early next year.
Perry purchased the property in 2004 for $4.3 million and later transformed it into a nearly 24,600-square-foot luxury estate. Set on approximately 22.5 gated acres, the property features nine bedrooms and 15 bathrooms.
The mansion includes luxury amenities. Inside are a 24-seat home theater, game room, entertainment lounge, music hall, wine storage, gym, steam shower, and multiple formal and informal living spaces. The primary suite has a fireplace, private deck, sitting room, walk-in closets, spa-style bathrooms, and dedicated massage and salon rooms.
The estate also includes a swimming pool, terraces, private balconies, a separate guesthouse, and staff quarters.
In 2020, Perry allowed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to stay at the estate after they stepped down from their senior royal roles and relocated to the United States. Meghan later publicly thanked Perry for providing the couple with a home and security during their transition.
Perry’s decision to sell comes as he prepares to step into a different phase of his life. During a September appearance on “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle,” he confirmed that he plans to move to Puerto Rico at the beginning of 2027 and said he would be “pulling back a whole lot” from work.
“Getting older [inspired this],” Perry, 57, explained. “It’s time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son and just take it all in.”
Perry, who has an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion, has spent decades building an entertainment empire that includes film, television and Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. His real estate holdings also includes a massive Atlanta property near his studio, a private island in the Bahamas, and a Wyoming estate that was listed for $39.5 million earlier this year.
