Champion boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather has no problem showing off his massive wealth.
With an estimated net worth of over $450 million, the 46-year-old revels in his riches like a kid in a candy store.
Recently, the champ posted pictures of his sneaker closet on social media, and fans were shocked at how some of the boxes in his collection towered almost to his ceiling.
In an approximately one-minute clip, the athlete filmed himself in his walk-in closet and shared with the public how much he loves sneakers.
“I don’t know about anybody else, but ‘Money’ Mayweather loves his sneakers. As you can see I have them stacked all the way to the top and I’ve got to let people know, there’s sneakers in every box,” he said, staring directly into the camera.
According to Mayweather, he wears the sneakers only once and then gives them away to those in need.
“I’m not bragging or boasting I’m just truly blessed. I just want to motivate people. Side note: I donate the shoes after I wear them,” he captioned an Instagram post that featured a video of him talking about his love for his kicks.
The boxer likened the shoe boxes to the game Jenga, where boards are stacked on top of each other as high as possible.
As another demonstration of just how many shoe boxes he has, he later climbed a ladder to place one box on the top and says, “You know it’s dangerous up here, it don’t look high, but it’s high.”
Sneakers are not the only things that Mayweather collects.
The businessman also collects skyscrapers.
Going to New Heights
On the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast, Mayweather claimed to own nine skyscrapers in New York City. This claim has yet to be verified.
His ninth skyscraper “is the tallest commercial building in America,” Mayweather said in 2021.
The Boxer is an investor in the One Vanderbilt, a 93-story skyscraper in the Midtown Manhattan area. He allegedly owns the property with other heavyweights in the real estate game, SL Green Realty, National Pension Service of Korea, and Hines Interests Limited Partnership.
In 2020, The Sun posted a video of Mayweather cutting the ribbon at the opening of the building.
He is also working with SL Green to help bring a casino to the Big Apple.
While the project is being led by Jay-Z and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, SL Green, and Caesars Entertainment are major forces behind making this dream a reality.
Drive, He Said
Mayweather also has an impressive car collection.
He owns five Rolls-Royces, including one worth $345,000 that was customized with an $18,000 mink fur-lined baby car seat for his grandson.
Other Rolls that he has in his collection are a Dawn, a Phantom, a Wraith, and a Ghost.
In addition to the Rolls-Royces, the prize fighter reportedly owns 23 other luxury vehicles, including five Mercedes-Benzes (a G550 4×4; an SLS AMG; an SLR McLaren; a G63; and a W140-Chassis S-Class) and four Ferraris (an Enzo; a 599 GTB Fiorano; a 458 Italia; and a LaFerrari Aperta).
The Grand Rapids native also has three Bentleys (a Flying Spur; a Mulsanne; and a Golf Cart), three Bugattis (a Grand Sport Vitesse; a Veyron, and a Chiron), and two Lamborghini cars (an Aventador and Murcielago).
The collection includes a few one-offs like a Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, a McLaren 650S, a Maybach S600, an Aston Martin One-77, a Pagani Huayra, and one Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita.
Reportedly, the most expensive car of all of his possessions, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, is worth $4.8 million.
Collecting Titles
His most prized possessions are the vehicles of his wealth: the boxing belts.
Mayweather went 50-0 as a professional, winning world titles at super featherweight, lightweight, super lightweight, welterweight, and super welterweight.
Mayweather can boast that he is one of the most decorated boxers ever and the highest-grossing boxer of all time. He may actually be the richest boxer in history.
