Rick Ross once rapped about his experiences of hustling but the assets he has acquired prove that he is investing and living the good life.
In 2006, Ross made his mark in the hip-hop community with his debut single “Hustlin’.” He signed to a multimillion-dollar deal with Def Jam Records and released his first album, “Port of Miami.” The album reached number one on the Billboard 200 album chart. In 2009, Ross launched Maybach Music Group, a record label that allowed him to release his own albums.

Flying On A Private Jet
Ross recently purchased a private jet and named it Maybach Airlines. The 18-passenger plane has Ross’ name embossed in gold on its side. It features a 2012 Gulfstream G-550 and is powered by twin Rolls-Royce engines, according to autoevolution.com. When announcing the jet on social media, Ross said, “$5 billion play.” Some took it to mean the jet cost $5 billion, but autoevolution.com wrote that the boast was “Ross’ way of solidifying his status as future billionaire. He also explains that, unlike other celebrities who got a wrap on their plane, he didn’t want to have to deal with the letters peeling off, so he went for a new coat of paint.”
The G-550 includes “RICK RO$$” lettering on the side in rose gold over a black background and the Maybach Music Group logo on the tail of the plane.
The Promised Land
In 2014, Ross purchased a sprawling estate in Fayetteville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta for $6 million. Built by its original owner, former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, in 1994, the estate is 44,234 square feet, and features 12 bedrooms and 21 bathrooms.
Ross added to his estate by purchasing 87 acres adjacent to his current property for $1 million. There are already two houses on the property that Ross can use as rentals or for living accommodations.
Known as the Promise Land, Ross’ estate was featured in “Coming to America 2.”
An Expansive Car Collection
In addition to a private jet and sprawling estate, Ross also has an extensive car collection. The collection is worth an estimated $4 million. Within his fleet, Ross has luxury vehicles, sports cars and vintage classics. With vehicles ranging from Mercedes-Benz, Ferraris, Rolls-Royce and Lamborghinis to Chevrolets, Ross has a collection that is highly regarded.
Ross recently hosted a car show at his estate in Georgia. With ticket prices starting at $325, the show allowed participants to view his expansive car and bike collection. Positioned as “the greatest automotive experience,” the show features live performances as well as vendors.

Ross is known for donning fur coats, luxury-brand sunglasses, vintage sneakers and, of course, high-end watches.
Producer Dr. Dre gifted Ross a Hublot Big Bang for his 36th birthday. The timepiece was valued at $100,000 and featured 248 diamonds, weighing 2.05 acres and another 126 smaller diamonds, weighing 1.29 carats.
Also in Ross’ collection is an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Ballon Bleu de Cartier and Rolex’s largest President watch made, the Day-Date II.
