Actor Cory Hardrict might be better known now as the ex-husband of Tia Mowry, but the Chicago-bred actor built his Hollywood career appearing in hit movies like “Gran Torino,” and in the process he accumulated an impressive net worth.
Hardrict’s breakthrough in film began with his role as Clarence “Kale” Colburn in the critically acclaimed film “American Sniper” in 2014, which marked a turning point in his career, leading to a flood of opportunities in the industry.
Building a Résumé
The 43-year-old actor developed a passion for the big screen at an early age. He gained recognition through appearances in television shows such as “Felicity” and “E.R.” in the late 1990s, and even showcased his comedy skills in the hit Disney series “Smart Guy.”
Marriage and Divorce
Hardrict and actress Tia Mowry met on the set of the film “Hollywood Horror.” In 2008, they married, beginning what outwardly appeared to be a long happy union right up until the moment in 2022 when the couple surprised the public by announcing their separation, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Despite the end of their romantic relationship, both celebrities have committed to co-parenting their two children, Cree and Cairo.
“These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children,” Mowry posted on Instagram, announcing the couple’s split after 14 years of marriage.
Mowry was given full ownership of the family home she, Hardrict and their children shared in Studio City, Los Angeles. The house is reportedly 4,871 square feet, and worth approximately $4.3 million, according to The Blast.
Amid the divorce, Hardrict has managed to extend his acting career as he continues to land significant roles in film, such as the Netflix football series “All-American.”
With an estimated net worth of $3 million as of 2023, Hardrict seems to have remained financially stable despite the division of assets during his divorce. Leading up to finalizing the spilt, Mowry requested that the judge terminate spousal support, as both parties had signed a prenup.
Initially, his lawyer noted Hardrict wanted the court to determine “the validity of the prenuptial agreement dated April 14, 2008, and/or that any provisions are unconscionable.”
Ultimately, the terms settlement went through smoothly and was not the typically messy Hollywood divorce.
I never expected these two will be divorced. A couple I have admired from here in the Caribbean islands.
