Inside the $1.5 Million Home Jeezy and Jeannie Mai Reportedly Still Share Despite Divorce Proceedings

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai may be headed for divorce court but neither has moved out of their marital home, sources report. 

Jeezy filed for divorce in September in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court. In his filing, Jeezy told the courts that the couple is “currently living in a bona fide state of separation and their marriage is ‘irretrievably broken’ with ‘no hope for reconciliation,’ The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. 

The couple met when Jeezy was a guest on Mai’s syndicated talk show “The Real.” They went public with their relationship in 2019 and the following year announced an engagement. 

Mai and Jeezy married in 2021 at their home in Johns Creek, a suburb of Atlanta. Photographs of the wedding showed the then-happy couple in the home’s open garden surrounded by magnolia, birch and maple trees. 

Jeezy purchased the home in November 2015 for $1.5 million, one month before weapons charges against him were dismissed in court. But just what does the house look like on the inside? 

A Look Past The Garden 

The home reportedly sits on a 1.2-acre-lot, and is 9,000 square feet. Visitors are invited to step through cast-iron front doors to designer lighting and hardwood floors throughout the home. An elevator provides access to all three levels of the home. 

The gourmet eat-in kitchen features marble surfaces, ceiling-height cabinetry and high-end appliances. The open layout makes it possible to easily see the breakfast nook. 

The formal great room includes large windows overlooking the massive backyard. 

The home reportedly includes six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The master suite includes a sitting area, a small kitchen, and his/her walk-in closets. The accompanying ensuite bathroom features a separate shower and soaking tub. 

On the upper level are high ceilings. There’s a recreational room with a wet bar as well as a theatre with stadium seating. A guest suite with a full bathroom rounds out this level of the house. 

Moving Forward 

Details behind the reason the couple is divorcing are not clear to the public. Rumors swirled that Mai was having an affair with Mario Lopez. However, TMZ reports that was not true. Other sources have reported to “Entertainment Tonight” that Mai is devastated. 

“Things haven’t been great between Jeannie and Jeezy for a few months, but she is still very surprised that he filed for divorce,” the source told “ET.” Since news regarding plans for a divorce was made public, Mai reportedly has been “taking time for herself” and “taking a break from her work commitments.”

Following the announcement of their pending divorce, Jeezy posted on Instagram against a Maybach with the caption, “Too focused on who I’m becoming to focus on who’s not coming with me.” 

The couple has a 1-year-old daughter, Monaco. As per their prenuptial agreement, Jeezy is seeking joint legal custody.
