Allison Hoker, the widow of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, is letting go of the family home now, just under a year after his death. She listed their home in Encino, California, for $3.795 million in early October.
The residence was featured prominently in dance videos filmed by the couple and their three children. Boss reportedly had a net worth of $5 million and served as a co-executive producer, co-host, DJ and sidekick on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” from 2014 until the show ended in 2021. The choreographer and actor committed suicide in December 2022.
Now Holker is selling the property that was once home to the couple and their three children. She’s purchased a $5 million home in Studio City, Los Angeles, for her family.
An Inviting Home
The Encino residence was built in 2018. The couple purchased the home in 2019 for $2.75 million. In 2021, they renovated the property through a partnership with Pottery Barn and shared the results with fans.
“It’s a very inviting space. No one’s going to ever walk in our space and feel like they can’t sit down on the couch,” Holker told People. “I think that’s the thing that I love the most, is that everything in our home says, ‘Come on in. You’re welcome in our home. We’re going to have a great day today.'”
The home is 4,600 square feet and boasts an open living room floor plan with high ceilings that invite natural lighting. There are also three fireplaces in the space and glides directly into the dining room area. The chef’s kitchen includes luxe appliances, a large center island and an extensive pantry area. Also on the first floor is a bedroom that can serve as a home office or guest room.
Upstairs are an additional five bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a walk-in closet that can handle a hefty wardrobe and a dressing area. All of the bedrooms provide an en suite bathroom. Through the kitchen or dining room area, visitors can access the backyard. The backyard features a covered patio, and an outdoor kitchen complete with a gas fireplace. A separate pool house features a private bathroom. The space can be used as an additional guest room, gym or office space. There’s also a pool, spa area, infrared sauna.
Looking Ahead To The Future
In addition to purchasing a new home for her family, Holker wrote a children’s book, “Keep Dancing Through: A Boss Family Groove.” The book is being released on Jan. 16, 2024, through Disney.
