Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, is reported to have successfully negotiated a payment arrangement for his six-figure credit card debt.
Jordan previously faced allegations of credit card payment refusal, prompting legal action against him. Court documents obtained by RadarOnline revealed that in December 2022, American Express filed a lawsuit against Michael Jordan’s son and his company, Heir LLC.
According to the suit, AmEx stated that Jordan was issued a Business Platinum Card in 2016 and had consistently made timely payments up until the previous year. Thereafter, the credit card company sought an order for him to settle the outstanding balance of $157,000. A settlement was reached in March, with Marcus agreeing to pay the entire unpaid balance in $10,000 installments. The balance was cleared by July 2023 and American Express subsequently dismissed all claims.
Coincidentally, the hiatus in Marcus’ American Express bill payments was during the period when he was first linked to Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa. In early September 2022, TMZ captured the two having breakfast together in Miami. Despite initial denials from sources close to the pair, they continued to be seen on dates, eventually confirming their relationship in November 2022. Michael Jordan openly expressed disapproval of Marcus’ relationship with Larsa when questioned by paparazzi in July.

Larsa addressed Michael’s disapproval on a podcast called “Separation Anxiety” that she and Marcus co-host. Marcus dismissed his father’s comment to his being under the influence of alcohol when he made the statement. Larsa, however, was still displeased and expressed embarrassment, stating that people might think she lied about her relationship with Scottie Pippen.
Despite the public scrutiny, Larsa and Marcus affirmed their relationship and ongoing commitment. Marcus even declared his intention to marry the reality star from “The Real Housewives of Miami” in recent statements.
