Actor Shemar Moore loves California so much that he keeps adding properties in the Golden State to his portfolio. The “S.W.A.T.” star recently snapped up a home for $2.5 million in the San Fernando Valley, the Robb Report reported last week.
Moore, who has a reputed net worth of $18 million, has been an actor and model for 30 years. His most notable roles include ‘Criminal Minds,” and “S.W.A.T.,” and “The Young and the Restless.” For his role in the soap opera, Moore earned the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series for five consecutive years — from 1998 through 2002 — and also in 2005 and 2006. Moore also won an Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series in 2015 for his role in “Criminal Minds.”
Moore has also starred in films such as “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” and “The Brothers.” In 2020, Moore served as the executive producer of “American Soul,” a drama series based on the beginnings of the “Soul Train” television show.
On Jan. 24, 2023, Moore welcomed his first child, a daughter Frankie Melelina Kapule Moore, with girlfriend Jesiree Dizo, and he shared the news on social media. “FRANKIE MOORE!!!! BABY GIRL in da building!!!” the actor posted on Instagram.
A Home In Valley Village
Moore’s new digs are a modern residence built in 2023. The home sits on the site of land where an older home going back to the 1940s once stood. The new property sits on almost a quarter acre of land.
Sitting behind a series of walls and gates, the estate features a four-bedroom, five-bathroom main house. There’s also a one-bedroom, one-bathroom home that has its own address. The main home and guest house combined to create an estimated 3,100 square feet of living space.
In the main house, there’s an open-concept living room featuring a marble fireplace. There’s also a dining room connected to the kitchen. The kitchen includes an eat-in island and premium stainless steel appliances.
Heading upstairs to the master bedroom reveals a vaulted ceiling, fireplace, walk-in closet, and spa bathroom with two vanities. In the master bathroom, there’s also an oval soaking tub and glass shower.
Outside, there is an expansive backyard. On the property is a pool, spa area, and custom-built barbecue station. A detached two-car garage rounds out the estate.
A Golden State Real Estate Investor
This is not the only home owned by Moore. In 2020, Moore sold his home in Encino for $2.4 million. That same year, he purchased another home for $5.8 million. The 9,000-square-foot home is located in Sherman Oaks.
