Recently revealed court filings show just how much former NBA star Dwight Howard makes on a monthly basis.
In Touch magazine has obtained legal documents from a custody petition involving former NBA star Dwight Howard and Tiffany Render, the mother of his child of his oldest child, revealing details about his monthly income and child support payments for their 14-year-old daughter, Layla.
The petition went in Howard‘s favor after a trial last month, with him being granted primary custody and being relieved of his child payment obligations. However, one consequence of the proceedings was his income was revealed.
So How Much Dows Howard Make
Howard’s monthly gross income was reported as being a little more than $133,333, while Render pulls in around $4,166.66 each month from her job, per the filing.
Howard is currently playing overseas for a Tawainese basketball team, Taiwan Mustangs, a team he is a part-time owner of, and he hosts an emerging sports podcast.
Howard once had joint custody of his child Layla while Render had primary custody.
As part of that arrangement, Howard was paying $3,000 per month in child support.
The latest petition was started by Howard in November 2023 to gain primary custody, which he was awarded on a temporary basis in January.
In his petition, Howard explains that Render purposely moved from Georgia where they once lived to Florida without his consent.
Prior to paying $3,000, Radar reported in the summer of 2023 that his previous child payments were once $12,000 month.
The reason why Howard sought to reduce the $12,000 payment was it was set during a time when he was an active NBA player and earning $21 million a year, but by summer 2023 that was no longer the case.
Howard also complained to the court that Render allowed Layla to be on reality TV which he disapproved of. He also complained of dissatisfaction with his daughter’s TikTok videos.
“[Tiffany] has demonstrated an inability to maintain a healthy home environment in which to raise the minor child,” The petition stated. “[Tiffany] has compromised the safety and well-being of the minor child.”
As Finurah previously reported, the eight-time All-Star recently expressed a desire to rejoin the Los Angeles Lakers during an interview with team owner Jeanie Buss on his podcast, “Above the Rim with DH12,” after it was revealed that his contract renewal was part of miscommunication between the team and his manager who was scamming Howard.
