Mike Tyson Splurges On Luxe Florida Mega Mansion Worth $13M; Spends Another $1.7M On Vacant Air Lots

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson recently spent $13 million on a mansion and another $1.7 million on a 2.2-acre plot at a private airpark. The purchase comes just two months after Tyson lost a boxing match to Jake Paul but earned a reputed $20 million.

Tyson, who has an estimated net worth of $30 million, shot to stardom in the boxing ring more than 40 years ago and held the title of heavyweight champion from 1986 to 1990. After losing the heavyweight title, Tyson faced a series of personal blows, including a rape conviction and another prison sentence for assault. Nevertheless, Tyson has remained relevant in popular culture as a boxer and entertainer, appearing in films such as “The Hangover” and hosting the podcast, “Hotboxing with Mike Tyson.” He is also the founder of Tyson 2.0, a cannabis brand.

Here’s a look at Tyson’s new megamansion, located in the exclusive Tierra del Ray Estates in Palm Beach County.

An Estate in the Sunshine State

According to Realtor.com, the 12,286-square-foot property is a waterfront estate on a 2.7-acre plot. Construction on the estate was finalized in 2024 and property records obtained reveal that Tyson closed on the home on Jan. 9.

The main house features five bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, along with several luxurious amenities. It has a chef’s kitchen, wine storage, a home theater, a gym, and a haircut lounge. There’s also a four-car garage.

The outside amenities are just as plentiful as the home’s interior. There’s a one-acre private bass pond along with an 80-foot swimming pool. In addition, there’s also a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house.

Other Real Estate Holdings

In 1988, Tyson purchased his first home — a mansion in Bernardsville, NJ, — for $4 million. In addition to the 114-acre estate, Tyson purchased two five-acre lots for $950,000, according to The New York Times. The property was sold in 1993 for $3 million.

Two years after his release from prison, Tyson purchased a 51,000-square-foot mansion in Farmington, Connecticut, for $2.8 million. Tyson added luxe amenities to the residence such as a nightclub, an indoor gym and shooting range, and a basketball court. But by 2003 Tyson was divorcing his second wife, Monica Turner, and filing for bankruptcy. Turner was awarded the estate and later sold it to 50 Cent for $4.1 million.

Tyson also owns a mansion in Henderson, Nevada, a suburb of Las Vegas. Purchased in 2016 for $2.5 million, the one-acre lot included a 10,400-square-foot mansion. His primary residence is in Nevada.
