Dame Dash’s life story is up for sale, and the highest bid right now is less than $40,000.
The rights for Dash’s life are headed for auction as part of his bankruptcy proceedings, putting the disgraced Roc-A-Fella co-founder’s personal story and archival footage up for sale to help satisfy debts owed to creditors, Complex reported.

Dame’s Life Story Drama
Florida bankruptcy Judge Roberta A. Colton approved the trustee’s plan Sept. 1, authorizing a court-supervised sale of Dash’s life rights.
The package extends beyond a written biography, which means Dash’s voice, image, likeness, other identifying characteristics, allowing the winning bidder to portray incidents, events and situations from his childhood through the date he filed for bankruptcy, iHeartRadio reported.
Dash owes more than $25 million, according to his 2025 bankruptcy filing, which listed $25.3 million in liabilities, including $19.1 million in taxes and other debts, and just $4,350 in personal assets.
The buyer will receive exclusive worldwide rights to Dash’s life story, as well as 100 hours of video, photographs, and memorabilia. The package also includes an unreleased documentary or film project involving Dash that remains in development, Complex reported.
The unfinished and unreleased “Roc-A-Fella Movie,” is about the record label Dash co-founded with Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Kareem “Biggs” Burke, Bloomberg Law reported last month.
The rights can be used to create new movies, documentaries, and books, giving the winning bidder broad rights to develop Dash’s story and make use of the accompanying archival material.
Everlasting Films LLC currently holds the opening bid at $37,000. If another bidder surpasses the offer, Everlasting Films is entitled to a $3,700 fee, according to Complex. Competing bids must increase by $10,000, making $47,000 the next valid bid.
The bidding deadline is Sept. 23. If competing bids trigger a live auction, it is scheduled for Oct. 1.
Colton is scheduled to meet with the trustee and winning bidder Oct. 27 for final approval of the sale.
New York state records identify Everlasting Films as the company of producer and writer Brianne Berkson Glückstern, whose credits include the 2016 film Bad Vegan and the Teleportation Machine, Bloomberg reported.
Berkson Glückstern was involved as a writer, director and producer on the Emmy-nominated 2024 documentary episode “The HeART of Democracy” and was affiliated with the 2020 film “The Difference.”
As Finurah previously reported, Dash filed for bankruptcy in September 2025, beginning the proceedings that led to the proposed sale of his life rights.
Dash filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy that year with more than $25 million in liabilities and less than $5,000 in assets
His financial troubles led to the trustee’s proposed sale of the rights and archival material as part of the effort to satisfy creditors.
He did not appear at the Sept. 1 bankruptcy hearing.
Dash will not receive proceeds from the sale. The money will go toward satisfying claims from his creditors.
