Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband Kevin Federline Hit With $117K Credit Card Debt Lawsuit After Child Support Payments Ended

City National Bank filed a lawsuit against Kevin Federline alleging that the former dancer and DJ owes more than $117,000 in unpaid credit card and loan balances. The legal complaint comes nearly two years after his child support payments from ex-wife Britney Spears ended.

According to court documents obtained by People on Oct. 29, Federline allegedly owes City National Bank $117,704.77 across three accounts: a credit card, a personal line of credit, and a personal overdraft account.

The bank alleges Federline opened an account in late November 2024, around the same time Spears’ child support payments ended following their son Jayden’s high school graduation. The complaint alleges that the accounts went unpaid after their respective repayment deadlines, which fell between April 2025 and August 2026.

City National Bank is also seeking accrued interest, including 20.5% on the credit card balance, 7.5% on the personal line of credit and 18% on the overdraft account.

Federline’s latest financial troubles follow a separate lawsuit filed by Bank of America in March, which alleged that he owed more than $12,000 in unpaid credit card bills. According to an affidavit reviewed by People, Federline opened that account in December 2024 and last made a payment in May 2025.

Spears, 44, and Federline, 48, were married from 2004 to 2007 and share two sons, Preston and Jayden. Under their divorce arrangement, Federline received $20,000 a monthl in child support, according to his 2025 memoir, “You Thought You Knew.” He also received $20,000 a monthl in spousal support for 13 months, half the length of their 26-month marriage.

The child support payments ended in November 2024 after Jayden graduated from high school, according to Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan.

Federline later married former volleyball player Victoria Prince, whom he met in 2008. The couple wed in 2013 and share two daughters, Jordan and Peyton. They relocated to Hawaii in 2023.
