Not only is Michael B. Jordan racking up major box office acting credits, but he’s been busy building his real estate portfolio. And his latest $12.5 million property purchase had many wondering if he was preparing to settle down.
Following a 2018 Emmy nomination for his work as a producer on “Fahrenheit 451,” Jordan was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world by Time and People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2020. He was also ranked No. 15 on The New York times list of 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century.
Jordan first rose to stardom in television series like “The Wire” and “All My Children.” But it was films such as “Fruitvale Station,” “Black Panther,” and “Creed” that solidified his position as a sought-after actor. Last year Jordan earned $15 million for his role in “Without Remorse.” And this year, Jordan is slated to make his directorial debut in the third installment of the “Creed” franchise.
As Jordan’s success as an actor and director continues to rise, his real estate portfolio is also expanding. In 2015, he purchased a home in Sherman Oaks for more than $1.7 million. Four years later, he bought a home in the Hollywood Hills for $5.9 million from Daisy Fuentes. Jordan, who has an estimated net worth of $25 million, is currently selling this home for $7 million and is ready for an upgrade.
Recently, Jordan purchased a $12.5 million mansion in Los Angeles. The actor’s new home is positioned behind gates on half an acre of land. In addition to 12,300 square feet of living space, there are eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and four powder rooms. Many wondered if this would be the home Jordan shared with socialite Lori Harvey. Their breakup earlier this month will now make this new home a bachelor pad.
Set behind gates, the property is secured by a high-tech system and is also controlled by a smart home system.
Jordan’s latest purchase is a modern farmhouse-style dwelling. Behind the 20-foot-tall wooden front door is an open space with an indoor waterfall. In addition to a custom-made staircase providing access to all three levels of the abode, an elevator is also present.
Glass walls provide an accessible indoor-outdoor living space. The backyard includes evergreen fake turf, a barbecue and bar area, a zero-edge pool, and a spa. An open-air poolside lounge is present, along with a pool house.
Bedrooms in the main house, as well as the guest home, feature private bathrooms. The en suite includes two bathrooms, a shoe closet, dressing rooms, a fireplace, and a balcony.
Finally, there is plenty of space available for relaxing and recreational activities. A subterranean level includes a lounge area, bar, movie theater, and temperature-controlled wine cellar.
Jordan will be joining several celebrities who reside in Encino. NBA player Tristan Thompson lives there, and rapper Whiz Khalifa purchased his Encino home in 2019 and recently put the residence on the market for $4.5 million.
