‘Instagram Rich List’: You Won’t Believe How Much Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj Charge to Post to Their Instagram

Hopper HQ recently published its 2022 Instagram Rich List of the top-earning celebrities, including Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez, Beyonce, and more. The third-highest earning celebrity on the list is none other than former WWE champion Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. According to the outlet, Johnson makes reportedly $1,713,000 per sponsored post on Instagram. He reportedly had 315,999,932 followers when the article was written. As of Monday, July 11, Johnson has 327 million followers and counting.

His wrestling days may be over, but Johnson knows how to draw in a crowd. He went from retiring as a pro wrestler to becoming one of Hollywood’s favorite entertainers. The actor currently has 6,669 Instagram posts, including viral fitness videos, which received at least one million likes each.

His latest sponsored post for ZOA Sugar-Free Energy Drinks, shared on Sunday, July 3, received more than 550,000 likes. His followers also love the more vulnerable moments he shares in videos with his mother, children, or fans, which range anywhere between 300,000 and 4.1 million likes.

Johnson has been steadily building his worth, which is reportedly $800 million. He has a major stake in the successful liquor brand Teremana Tequila. As a Hollywood box office draw, earns more than $20 million per movie, according to Forbes.

Add in the millions he’s making from social media posts.

In 2020, the global value of influencer marketing was estimated at $9.7 billion, according to Influencer Marketing Hub. In general, the average price is $10 per 1,000 followers for Instagram posts, Impact.com reported.

Nano-influencer (less than 10,000  followers) would earn $25–$200, while macro-influencers (250,000–1 million followers) can pull in $3,000–$15,000. Celebrity influencers can make $20,000-plus.

After Johnson, there are at least 15 other Black entertainers on the “Instagram Rich List.” Multi-Grammy winner Beyoncé sit at the No. 8 spot, earning a $1,393,000 per post with nearly 257 million followers. Nicki Minaj follows behind at No. 15, making $1,031,000, with more than 190 million followers. Other Black entertainers on the list include comedian Kevin Hart, singer Rihanna, and professional athletes like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Floyd Mayweather. The Kardashian-Jenner family including Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, also fall in the top ten on the list.
