Reality television personality Nene Leakes is no stranger to closing a deal. Just eight months after purchasing her deluxe townhouse for $1.75 million, Leakes has placed the property on the market for $2.5 million. The residence is one of three townhouses located at the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead. Leakes purchased the residence following the death of her husband, Gregg, in September.
Just months before closing on the Buckhead townhouse, Leakes sold her 10,500-square-foot mansion. Located in Duluth, just 25 miles northeast of Buckhead, the home sold for $2.65 million, a considerable drop in her original asking price of $4 million. According to Dirt, Leakes purchased the home in 2015 with Gregg for almost $2.1 million.
Leakes currently stars on the BET+ series “College Hill: Celebrity Edition” but she began her career as a reality television personality in 2008 as one of the original cast members of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Leakes was a recurrent cast member until she resigned in 2020. Earlier this year, Leakes filed a lawsuit against Bravo, arguing that she endured workplace discrimination. The network and Leakes are currently in negotiations to settle the suit.
During her 12-year run on the show, Leakes also began appearing on scripted television on shows such as “The New Norma”l and “Glee.” In addition, she participated in Celebrity Apprentice and Dancing With The Stars.
Today, she is the owner of the SWAGG boutique and is in a long-distance relationship with fashion designer Nyonisela Sioh, who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. She reportedly has a net worth of $14 million.
The 4,000-square-foot townhouse is three levels that include a secured four-car garage where Leakes parks her Range Rover and Rolls Royce Wraith.
Leakes’ guests pass through the hotel and then enter a private gated courtyard.
Inside the townhome, wide plank wood floors help streamline an open-concept living and dining room that includes a high ceiling with cove moldings. A wet bar and sedate fireplace wrapped in gray marble round out the space.
Also present is an eat-in kitchen with white cabinets, waterfall countertops, and designer appliances. The ground floor also includes an office or study and a family room. Leakes’ townhome features three bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. A penthouse-level master suite includes a white marble bathtub, a gas fireplace, a dressing room, and a walk-in closet. Another bedroom, known as the “glam suite,” includes a second kitchen, walk-in closet, and an attached bath.
The beauty of this property: Residents can use the 24-hour concierge, a saltwater swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, and, finally, an upscale restaurant.
