Todd Tucker of the hit reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is proud of his newly renovated New Jersey condo, much to the dismay of his wife, Kandi Burruss.
The refurbished New Jersey condo was featured via an Instagram feed about the season 14 reunion at BravoCon 2022.
The property in Fort Lee, New Jersey, used to be a shared home by Tucker and his ex — which is Burruss’ bone of contention.
Inside the Revamp
Before we get into the drama, let’s address the remodeling.
What was once a dimly lit and dirty space with dark wood floors is now a bright, modern space with a white walls and fancy light fixtures.
When reunion host Andy Cohen asked how the remodeling was coming along, Tucker said, “It looks amazing.”
“The whole kitchen has been done over, downstairs has been done over,” he said. “[And] I did the spiral staircase white,” Tucker said in the video.
In the video, Tucker showed off his patio and the beautiful sights of the skyline at night.

Don’t Expect Kandi To Visit
Kandi’s muted enthusiasm stems from several complaints, which she explained to Tucker during one episode of the show. She doesn’t like the fact that Tucker lived there with another woman, nor does she want to have do housekeeping if she stays — she’d opt for a hotel instead when visiting the New York City area. At a hotel other people can do the cleaning up.
“This is so weird. That is like your old place from one of your old relationships,” she says to him after he suggested they take a visit to the condo.
“I think it’s wack for you to throw that out there,” he responds. “This is our place to go, fix up. A space for our kids. When we’re in New York, we can actually go there for blocks of time. I’m not saying this is mine; you can be a part of it.”
She shoots back, “It’s not about compromises; it’s like I don’t want to stay in them other places. I want to be able to visit stay in a hotel, mess it up, leave and not have to worry about it.”
She also called out Tucker in her confessional for endowing her with a hand-me-down condo, saying, “It’s almost like him rewrapping a gift that he gave to an ex-girlfriend, and now I am supposed to get excited about it.”
She and Tucker, who has a personal net worth of about $400,000, run an Atlanta soul food restaurant chain together. They launched the Old Lady Gang in 2017, and they opened two more locations the following year. Burruss’ net worth is estimated to be $30 million.
Condo Feedback
Kandi, who is one of the producers of the Broadway play “Thoughts Of A Colored Man” invited her “RHOA” cast mates to New York to check out the play in rehearsals. While there they all took a trip to the condo.
Although Kandi was not impressed, the renovation won over the others, including Kenya Moore, who initially saw potential in the abandoned property.
“Gotta demo the bathrooms, you gotta demo the kitchen, you gotta demo the floors. … With this size condo, you need about $100,000 to do it properly,” Moore noted at the time.
In the end, Tucker did get it all done.
