Dr. Dre’s Malibu Oceanfront Home is Up for Sale for $20 Million Following Messy Divorce from Ex-Wife

Legendary music mogul Dr. Dre is letting go of his Malibu vacation home that he has owned for over 20 years. The oceanfront mansion was recently placed on the market for $20 million. Dr. Dre purchased the property in 2000 for $4.8 million and attempted to sell it 10 years ago with the price ranging between $11 and $12.5 million.

Ex-wife Nicole Young last occupied the home. However, it has been empty since the former couple’s divorce was finalized in December 2021. In their divorce settlement, Dre paid Young a $100 million lump sum but he was able to maintain ownership of the marital homes —including the Malibu residence, two mansions in Calabasas, and a Brentwood Estate.

Throughout the home are open-concept living spaces. The kitchen includes premium stainless appliances. The home includes six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. However, the master bedroom suite features a fireplace. There is also a sitting area, private balcony, office, recording studio, and gym.
