Simone Biles Went all Out For Her Second Wedding Ceremony with Jonathan Owens. She Wore Four Designer Gowns, Blinged-Out Air Force Ones at the Cabo Destination Affair

Olympic gold medalist gymnast Simone Biles and NFL star Jonathan Owens got married not once but twice.

Their first ceremony was lowkey, with Biles reportedly wearing a wedding gown that cost just $120 and shoes she ordered from Amazon. It was an intimate courthouse affair on April 23 in Houston, Texas.

But for the second one, the couple went all out for an extravagant destination wedding on May 6.

“I’m so sad it’s all over,” Biles later told Vogue. “I want to do it again. We had the best night of our lives. It was a 12 out of 10!”

Biles, 26, has seven Olympic medals to her name, and she is tied with Shannon Miller for the most Olympic medals won by an American gymnast. She also has taken home 25 World Championship medals, making her the most decorated gymnast in the history of the Gymnastics World Championships. Biles has an estimated net worth of $16 million, due to major endorsement deals such as with Nike.

NFL safety Owens, 27, is currently a free agent who has played for the Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans. His net worth is estimated at $7 million.

Off To Cabo

For the second wedding, the two married in front of 144 guests in Cabo San Lucas.

According to wedding planning platform Paradise Weddings, on average, wedding packages in Cabo can range anywhere between $4,000 and $8,000 for an all-inclusive wedding with 20 to 70 guests. But the average will be more than $10,000 if you have more than 100 guests

And, this time, Biles had four gowns, and she and her new husband wore custom-made Nike Air Force One Lows. One of the gowns was from Galia Lahav. The general price range for wedding gowns from this designer is $6,000 to $16,000, according to bridal shop Little White Dress Bridal.

“When I started dress shopping, I was like, ;if I get married, it has to be a Galia Lahav.’ And so once I looked at the dresses, I was like, ‘this is definitely my style,’ ” Biles told Vogue. “I think this is exactly how brides are supposed to feel — luxurious, beautiful, kind of on top of the world.”

Owens wore a classic tan-colored suit and bowtie for the ceremony.

Blinged-Out Kicks

The pair later donned their custom Nikes, which were crafted by Leila Bensargin, the owner of the online shoe customization shop Lei Lab Crystals. On the company’s website, its wedding collection sneakers can go for up to nearly $1,300 a pair.

In an interview with People, Bensargin said Biles wanted to coordinate the sneakers to the wedding’s gold-and-champagne wedding theme décor. Biles also wanted crystal lettering on the sneakers to highlight their wedding date. Bensargin used gold crystals along the seam lines of the white shoe and added pearls to accent the Nike swoosh logo.

“Simone requested incorporating pearls into our initial gold Swarovski crystal design. So, I mocked up a gold and pearl Nike swoosh, and we fell in LOVE with how the two complimented one another,” Bensargin said.

Bensargin added that both pairs were customized with their surname, Owens, which was outlined in crystals on one heel and the wedding date on the other. Custom-made 18K gold-plated lace locks were also used on the shoes.

“As we’ve seen with other features of her wedding, Simone cares about details. So I personalized every part of the shoe — including some hidden customizations inside only visible to Simone and Jonathan,” the designer said.
