Rick Ross Flaunts Extensive — and Expensive — Louis Vuitton Sneaker Collection, Putting Him In the Ring with Kanye West

Kanye West might hold the title of “Louis Vuitton Don,” but fellow hip-hop mogul Rick Ross is coming for his crown.

Ross, who is worth a reported $150 million, recently published several Instagram Stories sharing his collection of Louis Vuitton sneakers. His girlfriend, Cristina Mackey recorded scenes from Ross’ private closet showing rows of Louis Vuitton sneakers in various colors.

“Ah man,” Ross said during Instagram Live. “The Louis Vuitton vault. You see the artwork.”

West, who designed three distinct silhouettes for the designer brand in 2009, sent Ross several pairs of sneakers to add to his collection. Sneakers such as The Jaspers, Mr. Hudsons and Dons are all part of Ross’ collection. At the time of their release, the sneakers ranged in price from $870 to $1,140.

A Healthy Competition

Although Ross is working to prove that his LV sneaker collection matches West’s love for the brand, it’s all in good fun.

West, who is reportedly now worth $400 million, has not been able to partner with many brands and music labels following his anti-Semitic remarks made in 2022. West, who was once a billionaire, lost lucrative deals with brands such as Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga. Yet Ross, who sees the potential in West’s creativity, has publicly asked him to join the Maybach Music Group family.

“I just had an amazing idea, a boss idea,” Rozay said in a video as reported by HipHopDx. “This is something that’s extremely realistic to me. We’ve created amazing masterpieces in the past. The boss, Ricky Rozay, I’m interested in signing Kanye West. Maybach Music. Ye, what’s up? Talk to me. Let’s make history, baby.”

On several occasions, Ross has followed up by offering to be the distributor for West’s upcoming joint album, “Vultures” with Ty Dolla $ign.

“Imagine if Ye came and allowed MMG to distribute his new project,” he said. “Imagine that. What’s your favorite Rick Ross-Ye collab? Imagine that. Imagine the artistic drive. And I got some amazing ideas for the Yeezy brand. Let’s speak.”
