A woman identified only as “Jane Doe” in initial reports has filed a $50 million civil lawsuit in Nevada, accusing the former Denver Broncos star of sexual assault and battery during what she described as a “rocky, consensual” two-year relationship.

According to the 13-page complaint obtained by ProFootballTalk, Dow, who alleges Sharpe sexually assaulted her multiple times between 2023 and early 2025. The woman, who was 19 at the start of their relationship, claims Sharpe manipulated, threatened, and physically abused her, including allegedly recording intimate acts without her consent and sharing the videos.

The lawsuit, filed by controversial Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, further claims Sharpe demanded full control over the woman’s time and body. Buzbee previously represented Deshaun Watson and briefly filed suit against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Sharpe, 56, has denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit a “shakedown” and accusing Doe of trying to blackmail him. His lawyer, Lanny Davis, said the claims are “completely false” and insisted that a released audio clip allegedly showing Sharpe threatening the woman had been “manipulated.” He further identifies the accuser as OnlyFans model Gabriella “Gabbi” Zuniga, but Zuniga has yet to comment publicly on this.

As the high-profile legal drama unfolds, Sharpe seems to be taking refuge at his six-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom Atlanta-area property, which he purchased in 1994 for $625,000. Realtor.com estimates the 6,718-square-foot estate to be worth about $2 million today.

The timing of the lawsuit coincides with reports Sharpe is seeking $100 million in his next contract for his hit show “Club Shay Shay” and other properties in his podcast group, which has exploded in popularity thanks to viral interviews.

Sharpe attended Savannah State University, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. A three-time All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection and Kodak Division II All-American, he finished his college football career with 192 receptions, 3,744 yards, and 40 touchdowns, graduating in 1989 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Sharpe began his NFL career as a wide receiver with the Denver Broncos but found success after switching to tight end. He played a key role in the Broncos’ back-to-back Super Bowl wins (XXXII and XXXIII). After a brief time with the Baltimore Ravens, where he won another Super Bowl (XXXV), he returned to Denver and retired in 2003. He later became an NFL analyst for CBS and was inducted into the NCAA Division II College Football Hall of Fame in 2009. According to Spotac, his career earnings were $$22.3 million.

Sharpe has three children and has had several public relationships, including with Nicole Murphy and Katy Kellner.
