Drake Slashes $9M Off His Beverly Hills Mansion. You’ll Never Guess Why It’s Not Selling.

Drake is once again hoping to part ways with his sprawling Beverly Hills estate-this time offering a $9 million discount to attract potential buyers. The Grammy-winning rapper relisted the Tuscan-style mansion on June 24 for $79 million, down from its original $88 million price tag in 2023, according to Realtor.com. The luxurious property has been on and off the market for two years, with Drake even offering it up as a high-end rental for $250,000 per month.

Still On the Market

Drake purchased the 20-acre estate from British pop star Robbie Williams in 2022 for $75 million. Despite the impressive grounds and palatial amenities, the Canadian-born rapper seems ready to move on, following a pattern of offloading properties from his Los Angeles portfolio. He previously sold his Hidden Hills “YOLO Estate” in multiple transactions totaling $26 million.

The Beverly Hills property, built in 2001, features over 24,700 square feet of living space, including 10 bedrooms, 13.5 bathrooms, and nine fireplaces. Designed with grand Mediterranean influences, the estate offers an expansive floor plan with soaring ceilings, marble tubs, coffered detailing, and arched verandas.

Inside, the home includes two family rooms-one doubling as a screening room-alongside a private gym, game room, wine cellar, and chef’s kitchen with dual marble islands and state-of-the-art appliances. Outside, the grounds offer lush gardens, orchards, fountains, and sweeping views of Los Angeles. There’s also a mosaic-tiled resort-style pool, pool house with a pizza oven, tennis courts, and walking paths-creating the ultimate setting for entertaining or serene escapes.

Interestingly, the initial listing came as Drake’s highly publicized feud with rapper Kendrick Lamar dominated headlines. Their long-standing rivalry escalated in 2024 with dueling diss tracks, accusations, and legal drama. Drake even filed a defamation suit against Universal Music Group after Lamar’s chart-topping “Not Like Us” appeared to take aim at his personal life. UMG has called the lawsuit a misguided reaction to losing the rap battle.

Despite his Beverly Hills mansion struggling to sell, Drake isn’t exactly lacking luxury real estate. He maintains “The Embassy,” his Toronto megamansion, as his primary residence, and added a $15 million ranch outside Houston to his collection last year.
