Since returning to the White House, the Trumps have wasted no time turning presidential prestige into profit. Donald Trump has expanded his empire of branded merchandise, rolling out everything from “Trump Won” sneakers and faulty gold watches and cellphones to NFTs and “Victory Gold Medallions.” Trump’s online shops are stocked with “45-47” hats, shirts, mugs, and even Trump-endorsed Bibles — not to mention the various Trump family meme coins.

Now, just in time for the holiday season, comes first lady Melania Trump’s “Celebrating America” Christmas ornament collection, inspired by the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
Naughty or Nice?
The collection features limited-edition, handcrafted ornaments ranging in price from $75 to $90. A full set of six ornaments from the 250 Collection is listed for $465. There has already been backlash over the high price points. The brass-and-enamel designs include miniature versions of iconic U.S. landmarks such as the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and Mount Rushmore, alongside patriotic symbols like a star and an American flag. Each piece is engraved with her signature and includes a “special 3D animated digital collectible,” according to her website.

“I am excited to continue this annual holiday tradition with the Celebrating America collection of ornaments,” Trump said in a statement. “This year, I sought inspiration in our Nation’s upcoming 250th birthday, and all of the holiday blessings that we enjoy as Americans.”
Trump first began selling Christmas ornaments in 2022. With the latest collection, there is no indication that the proceeds will go to charity, meaning th earnings might just add to the Trump coffers.
Forbes reports that since 2024, President Trump’s net worth has climbed by roughly $3 billion, driven primarily by a series of highly profitable business ventures launched after his presidency. Melania Trump’s net worth is not publicly disclosed, but it is estimated to be between $50 million and $70 million.
While the various products have made the Trumps richer, some consumers have not been happy. Buyers of the Trump watch complained about the poor quality and even misspellings on the dial. The meme coins tied to President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have come crashing down, wiping out billions in investor wealth while also raising ethical, legal, and regulatory questions. Time will tell if the ornaments pass muster.
