Trina Braxton Turns Real Estate Baddie. Is This the End of Her Reality TV Reign?

Trina Braxton is turning a new chapter in her career as she dives into real estate. Yes, the singer and reality TV star has become a real estate agent. The 50-year-old Braxton shared with People Magazine that she began pursuing her real estate license in early 2024 and officially became certified in December. She’s now fully committed to the profession, but she says she’ll be balancing it alongside her ongoing presence on We TV’s “The Braxtons.”

A New Venture

“I am still a real estate agent…I’m not going to allow myself to be pigeonholed into something that I do enjoy,” Braxton explained, stressing that real estate is a strategic, long-term pursuit. She recounted her first home showing on the show, where actor Faizon Love was her client, saying, “He just broke the ice for me. And it was like, ‘If I can do this with a person who’s close to me … I can still do an amazing job as a professional.’”

And according to Braxton, her TV fame has made selling real estate a bit more complex. Fans frequently call, questioning if it’s “really” her, prompting her to clarify, “Dude, you trying to buy or what?” Despite this, she’s found the process of showing homes, building relationships with clients, and sharing her knowledge immensely rewarding. “It’s been challenging but fun,” she said.

In addition to property, Braxton is licensed in culinary arts and has been involved in multiple ventures, including opening the tapas-style Bar Chix in Georgia and selling related hot sauce and bourbon. She’s also co-owner of The Bass Mint recording studio in Atlanta. “If We TV decided tomorrow, ‘Well, we’re going to cancel the show,’…I am still a real estate agent,” she explained.

As for her financial standing, her net worth is estimated at $1.5 million, coming from music, television, theater, and her business ventures.
