The BMW tied to one of Hip-Hop’s most enduring mysteries is back in public view and for sale.
More than 25 years after Tupac “2Pac” Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas, the BMW 750iL he was riding in the night of the attack has resurfaced on the market with an asking price of $1.75 million.

The Infamous Car
The sedan, driven and leased by Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight, is being offered for sale for the first time and is currently on display at Celebrity Cars Las Vegas. The vehicle has been restored and authenticated, marking its first public showing since Shakur’s death in 1996.
Shakur was shot shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Sept. 7, 1996, after leaving the Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand. While the BMW was stopped at a red light at East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, gunfire erupted from another vehicle. Shakur was struck by four .40-caliber bullets fired from a Glock handgun. He died seven days later in a Las Vegas hospital. Knight survived the shooting.
After the shooting, the car was impounded by Las Vegas police and later auctioned off. Over the years it passed through multiple private owners. The vehicle was eventually acquired by Celebrity Cars Las Vegas, a dealer that now lists the restored BMW for sale with documentation confirming its connection to Tupac and the incident.
According to the listing, the BMW has undergone a comprehensive restoration intended to return it to its pre-shooting appearance. The car recently received a fresh coat of paint, and the wheels were replaced with the same style that was fitted to the vehicle at the time of the shooting. The listing states the car runs exceptionally well and is in excellent overall condition.
The restoration also preserved evidence of the shooting. The interior door panel and liner have been carefully pulled back, revealing original weld marks that correspond to where bullets penetrated the vehicle.
