Snoop Dogg’s laid-back spirit at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy led to an unexpected mix-up while he attended the men’s snowboard halfpipe final.

Declined!

While hosting for NBC, a staffer was sent to pick up American food from a small Italian restaurant. When Snoop’s credit card was declined — Reuters did not provide details on the reason, the amount, or whether it involved his assistant or a verification issue — the family running the restaurant covered the cost themselves. People Magazine reported that despite the hiccup, the staffer was able to deliver the meal, turning the incident into a memorable behind-the-scenes moment at the Games.

However, the family that runs the restaurant gave the Long Beach rapper a courtesy free meal, according to People Magazine.

The Daily Mail described the incident as “embarrassing,” noting that his payment for a cheeseburger, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, and French fries at Cronox, a restaurant and bowling alley in Livigno, didn’t go through.

“He sent his staff to take it and pay, but they couldn’t pay. I don’t know why, it wasn’t going. So my mother told him that it was okay [to take the food] without paying. Today, he sent us five tickets to see the final,” Sofia Valmadre, the daughter of the owners, told Reuters.

The gesture apparently warmed the rapper’s heart.

Using his role as an NBC correspondent and Team USA’s first honorary coach at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina, he made sure the Valmadre family could attend one of the coldest events in Italy.

As previously reported by Finurah, NBC holds the American broadcasting rights for the Olympics, and Snoop had also appeared as a host at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

While he hasn’t confirmed online rumors about his compensation, he was implausibly speculated to have earned around $9 million for his appearances.

NBC, which inked a broadcasting deal with the International Olympic Committee back in 2014, will air the Olympics until 2032.

Oddly, various internet sources estimate Snoop to have a net worth of $160 million, seemingly becaquse keeps busy with appearances across advertisements, movies, TV, music shows, and special hosting gigs.

The notion that he is broke is crazy. Who has not had a card declined? System error, fraud prevention action; different country code—- you name it.
