A waterfront mansion once owned by DJ Khaled has sold for $10 million, narrowly avoiding a scheduled foreclosure auction later this month.

Inside The Mansion DJ Khaled Once Called Home
The home, located in Aventura, was previously listed for as much as $16.39 million in 2024. The final sale came days before a March 30 auction, according to sources familiar with the deal, the New York Post reported.
The seller, music producer and restaurateur Nahim Jorge Bonilla is currently in custody following a 2024 indictment tied to an alleged international drug trafficking operation. He has pleaded not guilty, and a trial is expected in May.
Bonilla is known for co-founding the record label Ruido Callejero Music and owning the restaurant Mandrake Miami. In 2020, he and his wife, Melissa Granda, purchased DJ Khaled’s former Aventura, Florida, mansion for $4.8 million
Authorities allege the Bonilla case is connected to a network linked to the Sinaloa cartel and to former Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding, who also has denied the charges.
Despite the legal turmoil surrounding the property, the Mediterranean-style villa attracted a buyer described as a New York real estate developer and longtime fan of Khaled. The broker representing the buyer said the home’s celebrity pedigree played a role in the purchase.
Khaled owned the property for several years and hosted high-profile guests, including Jay-Z and Beyoncé. He also completed extensive custom upgrades, many of which remain in the home.
The roughly 6,300-square-foot residence includes five bedrooms, multiple entertainment spaces and a large waterfront footprint. Interior features include vaulted ceilings, a chef’s kitchen, a home theater and a custom sneaker room built to house hundreds of pairs.
Some of Khaled’s furnishings and design elements are still inside the home, along with high-end finishes such as crystal chandeliers and custom decor.
Originally built in 2001, the property sits within a gated community between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. It last was offered for $10.9 million before the sale closed.
