Cardi B is making it crystal clear: Mess with her money and there will be major consequences.
The Grammy-winning rapper went live on Instagram this week to rant about her fraudulent charges on American Express. Thieves went on a spending spree, charging about $60,000 — $40,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue and another $20,000 at an Apple Store.
At first, Cardi says she didn’t panic when the AmEx card went missing, thinking someone on her team had it. But the moment notifications of charges started rolling in, she knew something wasn’t right.
“My credit card, my AmEx, is connected to my phone,” she explained Momday. “Every single time that something is purchased with my AmEx, I get a notification like [someone] is texting me.”
Cardi told her audience that about two weeks earlier a massive Saks charge popped up, followed just 35 minutes later by a huge Apple purchase. That’s when she knew something wasn’t right.
“Before I even called my accountant, my accountant called me,” she said. “She’s like, ‘Yeah, some funny activity is going on’.”
The card was immediately shut down, but Cardi didn’t stop there. She says she’s already got eyes on the suspects.
“Let me tell y’all motherf**kers something: Y’all going to jail! I got clear, clear pictures of you motherf**kers trying to get money out of a Chase,” which her card will not allow at ATMs.
And if that wasn’t enough, Cardi made it very clear she’s not the one to test when it comes to finances.
“I ain’t like some of these rich people,” said Cardi, who is worth an estimated $100 million. “One dollar can’t be spent out of me. I don’t play when it comes to my bread.”
“You’re going to get fly off of my s**?! Oh, y’all going to prison! I want the maximum for you! My name is Balcalis M. Almánzar. I know y’all Googled who the f**k that is and thought, ‘Oh, s**t! We got Cardi B’s card, b***h! We’re gonna have a good time!’ Yeah, you’re going to have a good time in the penitentiary, b***h! You got me f**ked up!,” Cardi declared.
She added, “You’re lucky that I don’t got your address,” she added. Still she said they were sure to be caught. “Y’all going to jail by the end of the week.”
According to Pollstar, Cardi B’s “Little Miss Drama Tour” has been selling out most nights, grossing over $32 million in its first 17 shows, averaging over $1.8 million per night. There are 35 shows scheduled, meaning the tour is projected to gross between $70 million and $110 million.
