Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has relisted his penthouse in South Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood, pairing the loft with an adjacent studio residence in a combined $5 million offering.
The Motive Behind The Move
The top-floor units are located in Necco Landing, a five-story former textile factory. The main residence spans about 3,000 square feet, while the neighboring studio adds about 500 square feet. The two units cannot be structurally combined, but the studio could be used as guest quarters or office space.
Brown bought the penthouse and studio in October 2021, paying $5.5 million for the larger residence and about $500,000 for the studio. He previously listed the penthouse in 2024 for $4.75 million after helping the Celtics win their 18th NBA championship and earning Finals MVP honors. The property was later taken off the market and offered as a luxury rental.
The listing, first reported by Boston.com, is under George Sarkis and Roy Bahnam of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman.
“The open concept, the feel of it, the brick and beam — to see this at about a 3,000-square-foot scale is very hard to come by,” Sarkis told Boston.com. “Having one of Boston’s steakhouses in the building is a big bonus.”
The penthouse has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a powder room. Features include exposed brick walls, 12-foot wood-beam ceilings, oversized teal-framed windows, an open living and dining area, a billiard space and a kitchen with a Wolf range, Sub-Zero refrigerator and eat-in island.
The primary suite includes dual walk-in closets and a charcoal gray-tiled bathroom with a terrazzo-clad shower. A spiral staircase from the elevator-accessible entry foyer leads to a private 400-square-foot rooftop deck with views of the Seaport District.
The studio has a living and dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The combined monthly maintenance charge for the two units is $2,449 and includes heat, air conditioning, water and sewer, master insurance and trash removal. Brown was drafted third overall by Boston in 2016. In 2023, he agreed to a five-year, $304 million supermax extension, which was reported at the time as the richest contract in NBA history.
The relisting comes amid trade speculation involving Brown, though he has not publicly said he wants to leave Boston.
