Former NBA champion Al Horford, best known for playing for the Boston Celtics, has placed his Brookline, Massachusetts, residence on the market for approximately $15 million.

The 13,200-square-foot home at 33 Sears Road was purchased by Horford in 2023 for $14.8 million during his second stint with the Boston Celtics, according to Mansion Global.
Horford returned to the Celtics in 2021 after being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder and won his first NBA championship with Boston in 2024, Mansion Global reported.
He signed a two-year, $11.65 million contract with the Golden State Warriors in October 2025.
His NBA career has also included stints with the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers.
While Boston.com reports the home contains five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, other outlets describe the property as having six bedrooms.
The residence stands out for its modern construction in a town known for its historic homes.
The house was built in 2022.
“Brookline is one of New England’s most established and architecturally significant communities, so much of its housing stock consists of historic homes. Opportunities to purchase a newer-built residence with this level of size, land and quality are few and far between,” according to real estate George Sarkis said.
Horford previously owned another Brookline home, which he listed in 2024 for $8.995 million after purchasing it in 2021 for $7.5 million.
That property sold last year for $5.79 million. The current listing has been vacant since Horford relocated to California.
“They were taking their time, like getting stuff out, because they just had a quick move,” Sarkis said. “They painted the entire house, we did some minor updates — serviced all the systems, any exterior maintenance that needed to be done.”
