After a four-year absence from Grand Slam competition, this summer Serena is competing alongside Venus in women’s doubles at the 2026 US Open. The sisters, who have won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles together, are making their first US Open doubles appearance since 2022.

Serena has already made her comeback to the tournament, teaming with Carlos Alcaraz in mixed doubles. The pair won their opening match on Aug. 24 before their run ended in the quarterfinals, where they fell to Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli, 5-4(4), 4-1 on Aug. 25.

Now, Serena and Venus are turning their attention to the women’s doubles competition, bringing one of the most successful partnerships in tennis history back to the US Open.

Inside Her Real Estate Portfolio

Away from the court, Serena has expanded her wealth through real estate, with properties spanning Florida, California, New York and France, according to Elle Decor.

Her property history includes waterfront estates, custom homes, vacant land ,and residences that have been shaped by her family and design interests.

Florida Home

One of Serena’s most notable residences is a waterfront property in Jupiter, Florida, which she purchased in 2017 for $5.7 million, according to Architectural Digest.

Serena worked with Venus and V Starr Interiors, Venus’ design firm, to redesign the home. Architectural Digest documented the finished residence, which includes a private trophy room, art gallery, karaoke room, library, custom piano and large closet, as well as extensive artwork.

The home also includes a custom castle bed for Serena’s daughter Olympia.

Serena told Architectural Digest that the property carried particular emotional significance because it marked her first move away from Venus after years of living together.

Jupiter Estate

In September 2020, Serena purchased a 10,433-square-foot riverfront estate in Jupiter, Florida, for $8 million. The property, formerly owned by St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina, sat on more than four acres and featured a pool, guesthouse, sports courts, baseball diamond and nearly 300 feet of waterfront. The following month, the LLC tied to Williams filed a notice of commencement for demolition of the existing home, according to The Real Deal.

Palm Beach Gardens

Serena and Venus also have a long history of investing in Florida real estate together.

The sisters purchased land in Palm Beach Gardens in 1998 and later built an approximately 8,500-square-foot custom home, according to Architectural Digest.

The six-bedroom residence included separate primary suites, a home theater, eat-in kitchen, pool, spa, gazebo and private lake.

The sisters sold the property in early 2019 for $2.3 million.

Serena later purchased another Palm Beach Gardens property in 2015 for $2.5 million, according to The Real Deal.

The roughly 5,685-square-foot, five-bedroom home included a swimming pool, and a trust in Serena’s name was listed as the buyer.

The property later sold for approximately $2.775 million.

Jupiter Land Investment

Serena’s Florida holdings have also included vacant land.

She purchased approximately 2.4 acres at 152 Bear’s Club Drive in Jupiter for roughly $4.12 million, according to The Real Deal.

She later listed the property for $6.5 million before it ultimately sold for $6 million in 2018 to Patrón executive Edward Brown and his wife.

Bel Air and Beverly Hills

Serena’s real-estate portfolio has extended to Los Angeles, where she once owned a longtime Bel Air estate.

She purchased 1201 Stone Canyon Road for $6.62 million in 2006, according to Mansion Global.

The roughly 2.76-acre property included a 6,100-square-foot house built in 1935, a pool and landscaped grounds. Serena listed the estate for approximately $12 million in 2017 and ultimately sold it for $8.1 million in 2019.

Serena and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, also purchased a Spanish-style mansion at 12043 Summit Circle in Beverly Hills in 2017 for approximately $6.68 million, according to The Real Deal.

The roughly 6,000-square-foot, three-story home has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms and sits in a gated community.

The couple later listed the property for $7.5 million in 2021.

A Paris Pied-à-Terre

Serena’s real-estate holdings have also crossed the Atlantic.

In 2007, she purchased a two-bedroom pied-à-terre in Paris’s 7th arrondissement. A recent Realtor.com article from earlier this year says Williams “still holds the keys.”

Serena has spoken about her longstanding connection to Paris and showed the apartment during a 2016 Snapchat tour. She also discussed renovating the kitchen, giving the public a rare glimpse inside one of her overseas properties.
