A one-of-one sports card featuring autographs and game-worn NBA logo patches from Kobe Bryant and LeBron James has drawn a bid of more than $2.4 million, putting the rare collectible on pace to challenge the record for the most expensive sports card ever sold.

Remember a Time
The 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Dual Logoman Autograph card is being auctioned through trading card marketplace Alt, with bidding scheduled to continue through Sept. 24.
The latest reported bid stands at $2,472,280 after seven bids, according to Men’s Journal.
The card had spent nearly two decades in a private collection without being graded before it surfaced for public auction. The current owner acquired the card and had it submitted to Professional Sports Authenticator, or PSA, last month. It received an 8 on PSA’s 1-to-10 grading scale.
“This card was in a private collection for a couple of decades and no one knew it was available,” Alt senior account executive Brendan Kirbach told The Athletic’s Benjamin Burrows. “It was just sitting raw in someone’s collection.”
The card features signatures from Bryant and James, along with NBA Logoman patches from game-worn jerseys belonging to the two basketball stars. It is a one-of-one, meaning only one example of the card was produced.
Its timing also adds significance for collectors. The card comes from the 2007-08 season, when Bryant won the only NBA Most Valuable Player award of his career. James won the only scoring title of his career that season, averaging 30 points per game.
The card comes from the same Upper Deck Exquisite Collection series as a one-of-one Bryant and Michael Jordan Dual Logoman Autograph card that sold for $12.932 million through Heritage Auctions in August 2025. That sale established the record for the most expensive sports card ever sold.
The Bryant-Jordan card, which also carried a PSA 6 grade, featured autographs and NBA logo patches from both players. Its $12.932 million sale surpassed the previous sports card record of $12.6 million, set by a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card in 2022.
Another Bryant-Jordan Dual Logoman card from the Exquisite Collection, but without autographs, sold for $3.172 million through Heritage Auctions in December 2025.
The Bryant-James card could therefore become one of the most valuable basketball cards ever sold. Alt has not provided a presale estimate for the card, according to The Athletic, but PSA told the publication that the item is among the most valuable cards the grading service has handled this year.
The card’s public emergence is notable given how long it remained outside the collectibles market. Alt said the item had been sitting ungraded in a private collection for nearly 20 years before its recent grading and auction debut.
The auction will remain open through Sept. 24, leaving collectors additional time to bid on the card and potentially push its final price significantly higher.
Whether it can approach or surpass the $12.932 million record set by the Bryant-Jordan card remains uncertain. But with bidding already above $2.4 million, the Bryant-James card has quickly become one of the most closely watched sports collectibles currently on the market.
